Excerpt K 9:005
Set 33, Count 91 ...slay the idolaters wherever you find them...take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush...
Excerpt K 9:012-014
Set 34, Count 92-94 [9.12] ...fight the leaders of unbelief...[9.13] What! will you not fight a people...[9.14] Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace, and assist you against them and heal the hearts of a believing people.
Excerpt K 9:016
Set 35, Count 95 ...those of you who have struggled hard [in Jihad]

Don't just tell me the classic "it's out of context" .

What was it talking about? Why is it saying to fight and kill the unbelievers? That's not peaceful! And don't try to compare it with the Old Testament of the Bible. The New Testament does not promote killing. It speaks out against it.
Where in the Quran do it speak out against violence and killing people if you say it's a "peaceful religion"?

There are already 12 answers to this question and no one has explained to me how this is teaching peace. So you say that it's not teaching anyone to initiate violence? It's still not teaching peace when it says to kill someone. IT IS NOT A PEACEFUL RELIGION. The whole New Testament of the Bible teaches us to live peaceably with each other. Thos who condone the Quran have not pointed out one verse of the Quran that teaches peace. How can you say it's a peaceful religion when the word is not even in the Quran? If I'm mistaken then point it out to me.

First of all, there are several passages in the Bible that AREN'T PEACEFUL. If you don't believe me, spend less time trying to prove one religion is less violent than the other and just start reading the Bible.

2nd these passages do NOT refer to Christians or Jews. Had you continued to read, you would see that it is DEMANDED that all Muslims respect people of the book. That is Muslims, Christians, and Jews.

3rd. Know the history of the passages. The battles of early Islam were against horrible pagan tribes that raped and killed women and children. If you had taken a moment to read the passage before your first one, you would have realized that quickly.

4th. Type everything, not just excerpt.

This is part of the brainwashing responsible for the evil violence they have brought to the world for about the last 1400 years . It's what they have put into practice throughout time. This time they are going to be called on it and they wont get away taking anything over or killing innocents by the thousands as they are so used to. Enough.

"And don't try to compare it with the Old Testament of the Bible"

LOL... you still believe its the word of god don't you, why you puckering up when someone brings up the old testament. Are you ashamed of you god.
Everyone knows it says kill women and children. (which i don't believe god said) nevertheless, you as a christian believe its the word of god. So you have no basis of critisicing islam when your own god has said kill women and children.

I believe just the way you quoted the verses is proof enough that you are taking it out of context. and i think Hassan has sufficiently covered the topic. not to mention you left out the part that said they broke the covenant.

so allow me to turn the table on you.. guess who said "don't think i came to bring peace but i came to bring the sword"...now go run and hide in your little corner of insecurity.

THATS A SHAME YOU CLAIM ITS THE WORD OF GOD BUT CAN"T STAND BY IT

Assalamoalaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraqatuhu
May peace, blessings and mercy of Allah be on all of you.

These verses were send by Allah when the Muslims were in War not for usual conditions. The Noble Quran also says that "Not just let enemies go escort them to a place of security so they can hear the Word of God",which army General today can give its enemies a place of security. The Noble Quran also states that "one who killed a innocent man(whether it be Muslim or non-muslim) as if he had killed the whole of humanity" it also staes that "ink of scholar is mightier than blood of martyr".
Islam is a religion of peace.

For your last question you may want to read these verses:

Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War)
8:61 But if they incline to peace, incline thou to it as well, and place thy trust in God: verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing!

Al-An'am (The Cattle)
6:151 Say: "Come, let me convey unto you what God has [really] forbidden to you: "do not ascribe divinity, in any way, to aught beside Him; and [do not offend against but, rather,] do good unto your parents; [146] and do not kill your children for fear of poverty - [for] it is We who shall provide sustenance for you as well as for them; [147] and do not commit any shameful deeds, be they open or secret; and do not take any human being's life-[the life] which God has declared to be sacred -otherwise than in [the pursuit of] justice: this has He enjoined upon you so that you might use your reason;

Al-Isra (The Journey by Night)
17:33 And do not take any human being's life -[the life] which God has willed to be, sacred-otherwise than in [the pursuit of] justice. [38] Hence, if anyone has been slain wrongfully, We have empowered the defender of his rights [to exact a just retribution] ; [39] but even so, let him not exceed the bounds of equity in [retributive] killing. [40] [And as for him who has been slain wrongfully -] behold, he is indeed succoured [by God] ! [41]

An-Nisa (The Women)
4:92 AND IT IS not conceivable that a believer should slay another believer, unless it be by mistake. [114] And upon him who has slain a believer by mistake there is the duty of freeing a believing soul from bondage and paying an indemnity to the victim's relations, [115] unless they forgo it by way of charity. Now if the slain, while himself a believer, belonged to a people who are at war with you, [116] [the penance shall be confined to] the freeing of a believing soul from bondage; whereas, if he belonged to a people to whom you are bound by a covenant, [it shall consist of] an indemnity to be paid to his relations in addition to the freeing of a believing soul from bondage. [117] And he who does not have the wherewithal shall fast [instead] for two consecutive months. [118] (This is) the atonement ordained by God: and God is indeed all-knowing, wise

As for your previous questions you have to read and take into consideration the whole content of the verses. Also a very important point about the koran, it answers the questions it poses which means reading other chapters as well would greatly help.

You may want to check these websites-I can only think of these at the moment:

You men are transforming into extra inventive each and on a daily basis via turning the verses around to intend what you decide on it to intend, then saying "so it relatively potential this". That wasnt even the entire verse... Nowhere does it say something approximately possessing women human beings slaves, it says "and those whom thy precise hand possesses out of the captives of war whom Allah has assigned thee" yet you didnt incorporate this area. At his time many men have been loss of life in war and left women human beings as widows and no longer able to assist themselves for survival. the explanation why Muhammad saws had maximum of alternative halves (Allah gave him the exception of better than 4) substitute into by using fact he married those widowed women human beings to assist and furnish for them. Plus those women people who have been held as captives (as in prisoners during war, no longer his very own slaves!). It additionally mentions that he would desire to in basic terms marry Muslim women human beings and his woman cousins that finished the Hijrat with him, in assessment to for what applies to different men who can marry any woman cousin or perhaps non-Muslim women human beings (human beings of the e book - Jew, Christian, or Muslim). of course if a girl substitute into to marry the Prophet and prepare the holy message she needs to be a Muslim. The spirituality of the verse is believing that Allah factors a course for us in marraige it extremely is made hassle-free to stay with along with his education. each and everything is approximately obeying Allah and His intellegence with have confidence. Marraige isnt merely an significant dating for our actual existence, yet our ethical and non secular existence to boot. Linguistic miracle - like we continually say, each and each notice is from Allah. And he's unquestionably the Oft-Forgiving, maximum Merciful...if that's no longer holy sufficient then i dont be attentive to what's. desire that helped~
