Yep. I get confused and have to think about which is which sometimes. I always wear a watch on my left arm, though, so I don't have trouble remember which hand is which or anything like I did when I was litte. But if I'm told to read from left to right, or to move something to the right, or that kind of thing, I always have to stop and think about which is which. It's supposedly because I'm dyslexic.

BTW, where you ever told to hold your thumb out at a right angle and the one that makes an L is your left? Well, that never worked for me because I could never remember which way an L was supposed to go! I used to keep track of it because the amusement park near where I grew up would always put the ride-all-day bracelet on your right wrist, and I always left it on until the next time I went, so the right hand was the one with the Kennywood bracelet. Now my watch serves the same function (except on the left). It also tells me what time it is, which is an added bonus.

LOL. I thought I was the only person who had problems with this. when I am driving someone has to point the direction esp if its a turn i have to make like now, and when I give directions I will point only after thinking which is which. I hate having to give people directions because of that. For many years i used to turn and face a certain way in relation to my house since I knew if I faced a certain way that the river was to my left. Hsvent found a trick that works yet since I dont wear a watch or bracelet.

I have had trouble remembering ever since an accident I had about 10 years ago. My car went airborne into a tree and I hit my head. Had some temporary long-term memory loss. Remembering my right from my left is the only thing that still takes me a minute to figure out.

I'm 36 and have struggled since kindergarten. One way I've learned is find something on your body that doesn't change and memorize it, like I have a little freckle on my LEFT hand. That helps. Also hold your hand in front of you backs facing you and the left hand make an L w/ the thumb out. Stll in a pinch I'm a wreck if I have to think fast and I think I'm a pretty smart gal, go figure

A lot of people will say right and point left or vise versa. Its not that they dont know, they are prob visulizing right but saying left (and/or vise versa). Im pretty sure thats normal.

Sometimes when someone tells me something is on the right, I will shake the hand I write with (im right handed) to make sure I got it right.... The times I have confused right and left, I was usually under pressure or stressed or had my mind on something else.

Yea, my wife when giving directions. She will point in the opposite direction that she is speaking. Example...point to the right and and say turn left.

yup. my trick is that if you holf up your left hand with the index figer up & the thumb out at a 90 degree angle to the finger, it creates an "L" for Left!! Works all the time.

Sad to say, but yes I do! It's gotten better since I started driving, but if someone just gives me a whole bunch of directions, I really need to picture in my head first.

LOL I suppose so, if I'm really wrapped up in something and im not paying attention....tis' possible....and as for the person who said it was a F**ed up question, that person (i'm quite sure) isn't exempt from these types of things happening.....no such thing a stupid question.
