See if you can wrap your mind around this... diet. Consume fewer calories than you burn. Pretty simple, huh?

You don't want to lose weight fast. You do that, and you'll end up gaining it back threefolds. You're better off losing weight slowly. That way, your body can adapt to the changes easier.

I lost 12 pounds in three weeks several months ago and I've managed to keep my weight within the range I'm at now (175lbs, one or two pounds over and under from time to time). All I did was cut fast food out of my diet and hit the gym every other day for two hours straight with an emphasis on cardio more than weight training. If you want to lose more, go on a better diet than I did. Good luck.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else. If I stick to eating produce, fish, meats and dairy, and work out at the gym doing cardio and weights 3-4 days a week, I lose weight. It's not healthy to "lose weight fast." It's healthiest to lose half a pound to two pounds per week. You didn't gain weight overnight, and sadly, you won't lose it overnight either. Good luck hon! I'll be thinkin' of you while I'm running on the ole' treadmill. :)

if you need to get into a dress or something and you dont care if the weight loss is superficial (water weight, etc...) then cutting out all carbs and sugars really works. it makes your liver work into overtime and so you lose a lot of water weight. thats why the diet was such a craze was because of the immediate results. another quick fix is running in sweats and a sweatshirt so you sweat it all out. if you just want to feel skinnier eat grapefruit (cuts bloat) and avoid salt.

If there was a quick way to lose all your weight, then everyone would be thin. I don't understand why people think that there is a magic remedy out there, i mean i have lost 85 lbs and people ask me how i did it, duh diet and exercise and it sure didn't happen overnight

working out, earing healthy and in moderation while watching my fat intake, cholesterol, and so forth.drinking lots of water is a big part and eating breakfast-that speeds up your metabolism in the morning. also, eating things that are low in sodium, sugar, sugar free, and fat free works.
