I do not hate Christians or Muslims, nor do I think either religion is superior over the other. What I do hate is when one lumps everyone of another religion into one group, then bashes that group. I just hate seeing all Muslims being persecuted for what the terrorists have done or are doing. It's just not right.
The same thing goes for race as well. Stereo typing any group of people as being all the same is ignorant. Much like you did with this question, not all liberals are the same and we certainly don't all think exactly the same.
I have many friends that are Muslim, and many who are Christian. My own adopted daughter is Buddhist. Every one that I associate with are kind, good hearted, loving people. No matter what race or religion they are. There are good and bad in all "groups" of people.

Because there are people who call themselves "Christians" who talk the talk, but don't walk the walk.
Christ said: "The door is small and the path is narrow and FEW are those who follow it.
If you see the hate and war mongering of some so-called "Christians" you know they are not following the narrow path prescribed by Christ.
Hypocrites are not appreciated by anybody. It has nothing to do with "left", "right", liberals, Muslims or greedy bunch.
Get your act together and think and act like Christ did and thaught:
Love your neighbours!! even if they are your enemy! Learn about compassion and forgiveness and REALLY apply it in your life. Then see how many people will be able to really hate you.
Love is the answer (even for "Christians"!) - whatever the question.

I don't think hating Christians or Muslims is a job requirement for being liberal; I know I don't hate anyone. And I have to say, I hear far more vitrol from Christians about pretty much everyone who doesn't agree with them than I do from any liberals. I have never heard a liberal scream in someone's face that they are going to burn in hell forever for their godless ways, but I have lost count of the times Christians have said that just to me.

Some of those far left liberals are Christians too, more than you think. Being Christian doesn't mean you are a Republican All Muslims are not war mongers or killers either.....

i've got faith this question is terrific responded by ability of a Liberal (Socially, greater centrist yet nevertheless fairly left on economic rules) Atheist. I honestly hate that persons provide Islam a loose bypass. that's a violent, illiberal, faith and quite isn't "attractive" as I so usually hear it stated as. I'm not partial to any faith in any respect, yet I exceedingly dislike Islam via fact of its hostility and how it degrades women persons (i'm a guy). Now, merely via fact I hate the religion doesn't recommend I hate Muslims, maximum don't save on with their holy rfile thoroughly, merely as Christians don't. besides the reality that it doesn't need to be risk-free against grievance in any respect.

But when the world has gone so far "BANANAS" if you are in the center... you got no choice but to move to the right because they're pushing you over from the left!

Well because Christians don't support gay marriage and abortion while Muslims are so progessive on these issues. Don't you remember that fabulous gay pride parade they had in Riyadh this summer? And who could forget that hip concert Ani DiFranco played in Tehran?

Because they see Christians as a more direct threat to them. Some Muslims provide the distant threat of Terrorism, but some Christians within the government threaten to take away civil rights like marriage for all and a womens right to choose abortion.
And please, no need to attack me for nonchristian values like being pro-gay and pro-life and tell me I'm going to hell. I'm quite happy with my viewpoints, thank you.

Some ppl are not happy unless they are bashing someone. It's what you have the most of inside of you.
If someone makes you mad, it's actually not them but you letting yourself get mad, (or hate).
