Okay I have your problem, and here is some serious answers that I have researched/been told. First of all, still eat healthy, dont stuff yourself silly, and do excercise.
Eat higher calorie fruits and veggies (bananas, carrots, apples basically any fruit and veggie that is not watery.
protein! Eat lean meat, eat peanutbutter, ask your doctor about taking some protein powder, my doc prescribed me some to take, and it actually doesn't taste to bad.
Eat healthy high calorie foods like nuts, legumes, wheat crackers.
Never be plain. Top your toast with maregines made with healthy fats, peanut butter, jelly. add cheese to your scrambled eggs. This will add calories without filling you up. Cook with healthy olive oil and sprinkle it on your saled, add eggs, crackers and other filling stuff to your salads. fill omelets with cheese and veggies. Order creamy soups.
Swich to whole grains, there healthier and more calorie dense. Eat complex carbohydrates, not loads of sugar.
Eat 3 meals and at least 3 snacks.
here are some healthy high calorie snack ideas.
1. plain full fat yogurt and frozen berries blended together and some peanuts mixed, makes a great dip.
2. Cheesy garlic bread made with whole wheat bread.
3.peanut butter on toast with bananas washed down with full fat milk.
4.whole wheat blueberry muffins, or pancakes
5. Pasta!
6. homemade pizza.
Now, If you wanna gain weight but still be healthy do weight training and resistance excercises. Do crunches, and buy hand and ankle weights, and use them. And jump rope too, or swim.remember muscle ways more than fat!

First let me put the numbers right. 155 cm is 5'1" and 35 kg is 77 lb, while 40 kg is 88 lb. For calculating BMI, going back to metric units, at 35 kg your BMI is 14.57 while at 40 kg your BMI is 16.65.
A BMI of 14.57 is definitely very low and does pose health risks. Your immunity would be low. If you fall ill you will take more time to recover, you are likely to come down with secondary infections. If you catch a serious illness it could prove dangerous since you would not have the resources to cope with it.
A BMI of 16.65 is still considered low but I believe being at that weight does not pose any health risk. I have maintained a BMI of 15.57 for the last 28 years and I rarely fall ill. Hence my belief that if you can maintain a weight of 40 kg then it would be OK.
Now if I maintain a BMI of 15.57, it is because I do not eat properly. But you say that you eat properly, it is just that you are hyperactive. That still doesn't seem reason enough to explain your unusually low weight. Try eating more. If that doesn't help see a doctor. There may be medical reasons which can be treated.

Best way to gain weight is to start lifting weights. You will probably need to eat a little more to keep up with your metabolism because the added muscle will increase your metabolism, but you will be stronger and fill out your clothes better. Don't worry about getting "big" like most women, especially if you are already thin. Women don't produce enough testosterone naturally to build bulky muscles. You muscles will be lean sculpted.
A friend of mine is so thin she looks frail or anorexia, her whole family is like that very thin. She's put on 10 lbs and is starting to look healthy now instead of frail.

That's not that skinny i'm 151cm. and 44 kg. If you seriosly want to gain weigth, go eat at Mcdonald's or Burger King and eat 5 times their in 5 days. I gained 7 pounds when i did it. But i lost them all in that same week. I'm guessing you're a girl or woman so i know a lot of people that way less or just about the same as you. Good luck though:)

If you're eating properly and you're still concerned about your weight, you should consider getting some tests done. I lose weight really easily too, and I eat a lot.
There are a few things that you could have checked just to make sure everything's ok. One is your thyroid.
Another thing is, make sure you take some time to relax. I think your stress level can affect that too.
