When is a lie a truth ?

2006-09-15 16:52:50 · 43 answers · asked by Caesar J. B. Squitti 1 in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

Many of your answers are correct, the story of the Garden of Eden involves several lies....'you will not die'...."mankind has died spiritually'....and you will be like God...another lie...

There is now concrete proof that this original sin is still with us...and it can be found in the definitions of lie and truth...there is a negative side to truth and a positive side to a lie....

Remember the devil was an angel...called Lucifer...the light that deceives the world...

This is a trick question, because the answer is a relatively new discovery....Look up http:www.jesuschristcode.com.

The greatest tool of the devil is the fact that he's not believed in enough. "the devil made me do it" is not an acceptable excuse in a court of law.

The greatest tool that satin, uses to lie to us in this dispensation is the truth, or the word of God, but twisted off course a bit and sent back to us. After his defeat at the cross Satan began a new campain called religion. Religion is his ace trump now. The biggest cause of a man not wanting to learn about God is religion and the intensive arguements over who is right. It's an effective campaign and untill the tribulation when the real bad *** demons are release from uder the euphradies river in Iraq, it will be his strong hold.

The supernatural does not exist. There are no ghosts, ghouls, or demons. No hell, no devil, no Satan. Neither are there any angels. No heaven, no god, no pixies, and no holy writings.

Just take a step backward and use your common sense. What does the human experience give evidence for? Did god ever actually speak, except that some preacher told you he was speaking for god?

What kind of god would make his existence impossible to prove and then hold it against people if they have doubts? Is that a god you want? Sorry, he is not there. Neither are the devil and his minions.

So the devil does not lie to us, and everyone knows he does not. We just have to get ourselves into trouble without his help.

He uses partial credibility to lead us the wrong way. Right from the beginning of Genesis with Eve. He told them that if they ate of the forbidden fruit they would be like Gods knowing Good and Evil. While in strict constructionist terms, it was technically not a lie, the problem was that the intent of those words was to deceive a person.

So it once again all goes back to the intentions of the heart. If you say something with the idea to convince a person wrongly even if you say the correct things, it's wrong.

the greatest way that the devil lies to us is throught the words of others and through our own minds. he even uses the bible sometimes. after reading a verse, he'll be the one whispering in your ear, you do what it says not to, your a bad person. also a lie is never a truth, that is the defionition of a lie.

He plants seeds of slander, false accusations, destruction, fears, etc... and they sprout & grow if watered & nourished & grow up as tares in a field of wheat.

Reading Searchers answer. The devil states a truth but He also adds to it, "You will not surely die...". He does this trick in false doctrines. He will say God's Word, then add a deception.

God has delivered me from false doctrines by giving me this discernment.

I really think it is pride. It was pride and arrogance that got him removed from heaven, he used pride to tempt Eve- it was pridefulness to even begin to think that she would become like God, pride is what motivated Adam to partake in the sin and I truly believe that just about every sin that a person can commit can be traced back to a seed of pride "did God REALLY say..." kind of an "I think I know better than God" attitude - pride questions the wisdom and authority of God, replaces it with our own worldy wisdom and then causes us to play around with the idea of the sin that tempts us. No matter the sin, the moving in that direction starts with a heart that says 'I will place my throne next to or above God's' - Pride
