Yes and I think you have to make it through one minute at a time. Eventually you can make it one hour, one day and so on. But don't think too far in advance, it will seem overwhelming. Remember "this too shall pass" and as my Grandme pointed out to me after I had a miscarriage....the Bible says that God will not give you more than you can take. Be a survivor, you will come out of it a stronger and wiser person, possibly you will be there to help others going through similar situations. Good luck and God Bless You.

Even though I'm a retired mental health professional with 20+ years experience, I've had my "deadly moments" when I didn't think I could handle any more sadness that I was feeling. I was in tears, sobbing tears, and with no plan for how to deal with such sadness, as I was on the living room floor in front of my sofa, with no one else in the house, I cried out, (and I DO MEAN CRIED OUT, amidst my sobbing tears), "Oh God, PLEEEAAAAZZZZZEEE help me." No bright sunburst came to brighten my day. No wonderful white dove came floating over my head with wonderful flowers dropping from the sky, and what had happened didn't get "unhappened", or reversed. What happened then? I lived another moment, through more tears, to another moment, and another, and another, and somehow survived the rest of that day, and then the week and then the month and then the year, and now, coming up on the 20th anniversary of that event, I'm still alive, and now stronger and happier than I've ever been. What did I do about my sadness? I forgot that psychology crap that I was peddling to the public, and in my desperation called out to God, and HE answered my extreme grief like no psychologist or psychiatrist EVER could. Would I recommend the same remedy for you?? Damn right!! Without a doubt!! And if I could ever pay back all the money I earned from my clients when I didn't urge them to turn to God, I would, HAPPILY, only I can't remember who they are due to all the confidentiality stuff in counseling, and my practice has been closed for about 7 or 8 years, and so all the records have been destroyed or otherwise stored in a more secure vault that I no longer have access to. Call out to God!! NO ONE can do what God can do!! NO ONE!!!! What's the saying? "Been there, done that." God Bless you.

The first answer is totally insensitive.. get used to that stupidity and ignore it if you can.
Yes, I do, and I have since I was a child. I personally have a chemical imbalance and it's not my fault. This might be true for you too, I can't say as I know nothing of what you go through. There is help out there though, check the source & I'll also get you some links.
My own support system besides my meds here: http://p069.ezboard.com/bnothingzone
My outlet through poetry here: http://larrycox.com/main.htm
It is REAL and don't let others tell you otherwise. At the same time as with any illness you can't expect it to go away if you don't try to get help. Good luck.

Yes. I tried and failed suicide. Spent 8 days court ordered in the psych hospital. This was my second attempt. I just couldn't take everything that was piling up on me anymore, felt completely alone, was isolated without car or phone, etc. The conditions were perfect for my sick mind.
Suicide is definitely not the answer.

yes i have....so sad that indeed i felt like exploding into a million pieces, or maybe sleeping forever......I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder, PTSD, and anxiety disorder, and was put on the appropriate medication to treat those problems...also, I was shown how to modify behavior and habits that help me avoid sliding back into patterns of feeling that way....Hope this helps...Hang in there, and don't do anything rash when you feel this way,,,,tommorrow is a NEW dayand things will get better.....for more clarification on what to do in this instance, I recommend listening to and following the advice of an old song by bobby mcferrin called "Don't Worry, Be happy"---instead of applying it to worrying, apply it to feeling sad....Take care and keep your head up.

Yes I have. It depends on what is making you sad. If there is no reason for your sadness, then I would check with a therapist. Maybe you have depression, and usually your own doctor or a psychiatrist can prescribe something for it.
