for asking someone to homecoming meet them somewhere and go on one knee and take their hand and ask them or should i do something different?

Little dramatic, don't you think.
I'd recommend a more direct approach. Just ask. If you want to make more of an event of it, have a modest bouquet of cut flowers (NOT roses...too intense) with you. Girls ALWAYS like flowers.

I think it's a little to much...esp if you're not sure if she'll really go with you. Getting down on ak nee seems a little to serious. Try some flowers and a little note, sounds generic but i'm sure it will work

No!!!!! Send them a pizza (obviously pay for it, don't stick them with the bill) and write in the box, "I know this is cheesy, but will you go to Homecoming with me?"
