Sing to me sweet Silence
I am listening right here.
My ears are open to your message.
Of Truth I have no fear.
Darkest night does not fill me,
With fear or silly dread.
I will live this life with trust.
Until the day that I am dead.
I am at home with silence.
Darkness is as bright as day.
I fear nothing in this life.
I shall embrace it all the way.
Silence be my guide.
Darkness can be my light.
Sweet may be the sunrise.
But sweeter find I the night.
Only in silence does Wisdom speak.
His voice is loud and clear.
I shall harken to His message.
I shall endeavour to share it down here.

Actually Dear Elkstar it has more than one meaning. I have always been a night person. I even work nights. I prefer nights.

It expresses in words the unique ineffable sense I experience when the chatter of everyday living ceases and becomes far and distant and a certain truer awareness of self and being is born which yields purer reasoning and vision illuminated by the Holy Spirit and hearing by the voice of God.

Good. I do the same but back it up with scripture where it is needed.
As it is said, make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Psm.100:1-5;

RELEASED TO BE FREE EVENTUALLY

In death silence and darkness none to weep,
As when Jesus Rose, David was still asleep,
Until the enemy Satan in under Jesus feet,
Then up there, place is prepared for priest.
Psm.115:15-17 [Silence ]; Acts 2:31-35;
Rev.12:7-12; John 14:3; Rev.20:1-6;

As cast down Satan has a short time angrily,
Working his ends havoc to end with him in pit,
The Goat are separated from the meekly sheep,
Sheep for kingdom, as did savior Jesus speak.
Matt.5:5; 25:31-34; Dan.12:1-13; Rev.12:12;

Michael stands against Satan to the very end,
The word is made known to those now living,
The coming of Jesus is to be life ever giving,
Only God knows day and hour Jesus world is in.
Rev.6:9-11; 7:9-17; Matt.24:3-36,38; Eph.3:21;

He comes with the clouds and every eye will see,
The Lord and Savior Jesus, in him we are free,
To have all lost in Eden, new, made perfectly,
It sure is paradise for all loving God to see.
Rev.1:7;2:9; John 3:16; 8:23; Rev.21:1-5;
Matt.22:37-40; Rev.22:1-3,14; 1Cor,2:9;

I have always been a person that functions very well at night.

It is a spectacular poem. It has feelings and meaning in it which always makes poetry great. It also flows superbly up until the last 4 lines. Work on those and it would be even better than it already is.

Did you happen to write this poem? It is beautiful nontheless. I really enjoy seeing artistic work like this posted here, such an easy acess to great literature is astounding. It is really good. It seems to me that its something to do with faith, neverending faith. One who soundly stands by his belief. I might have totolly missed the point of this poem, but i liked anyways. If you did write this, i suggest you continue your work as a poet. I have passed through some of your earlier posts and found them itriguing. I never answerd but i may very well start contributing to your questions.

It is very good, Did you write it? if so congratulations,

if i were to try to figure out what it is about, i would say that it is about a spiritual experience, but the way that it is written it could be an experience from many different faiths.

the Pagan faiths usually find solace in the night but i know that you are Christian, so i would say that the refference to night and darkness is a reference to overcomming a fear of some kind.

either way it is very nice.

Absolutely beautiful !

Wisdom is knowledge from the Holy Spirit.
You are blessed in receiving her.

Wisdom 6:13
Wisdom is glorious, and never fadeth away, and is easily seen by them that love her, and is found by them that seek her.

Ecclesiasticus 6:23
For the wisdom of doctrine is according to her name, and she is not manifest unto many, but with them to whom she is known, she continueth even to the sight of God.

Wow, sounds like meditation:

"Only in silence does Wisdom speak"

Beautiful,Oh you wrote it? Such talent! It is hard to believe you are not well known. Longfellow spoke of such poets:

"Read from some humbler poet,
Whose songs gushed from his heart,
As showers from the clouds of summer,
Or tears from the eyelids start;

Who, through long days of labor,
And nights devoid of ease,
Still heard in his soul the music
Of wonderful melodies."

I think it's quite lovely. You have deep thoughts. I'd be happy to share one of my own, in the same genre, but only if you ask. This poem says much about yourself. Your inner self. I'd like to see more.
