Assuming that your partner is of legal age, as long as you want or as soon as you want. Whatever you both agree is a good time, and when you are both ready for it.
Some people are willing to have sex on the first date, others aren't until a month or so has gone by. It's a personal preference thing.
Talk to your partner about how she feels, is she ready for it, is she willing, does she want to, etc... Then get yourself tested for AIDS and STD's. Condoms aren't 100%, so unless you've had a recent full work up done, you both need to get to a doctor. I'm assuming that neither of you is a virgin, but I could be wrong.
Once the test results are back (and clean) then have fun!

No need to wait for any time. This is your peak time of your youth and once you miss this oppourchunity then may be next time you have to wait for 31 years more to sleep with some one else.

If you know you are going to, why wait? Life is too short (particularly at 31) to worry about what other people think or "what is acceptable". I mean if you were very young, you may have good reason to wait, but not full grown adults. You do what you think is right - period.
Peace!

The time will show its self. Respect her/him and you will get more out of it than you can ever imagine. If the issue is pushed they may give in but only to give what the other wants then there is a hard road ahead.

When the time feels right. Don't wait too long though. When my girlfriends Dad found out we did it before we got married he said he might have not considered us as a couple welcome into his family. I responded, "That's ok. We are not exactally welcome in isle 3 at the local 24 hour Stop & Shop anymore either." Wonder why I am divorced?

If it feels right
Do it tonight
Time waits for no one
Go on,have some fun
If you tumble down the hill
You have to pay the bill
After thirty-one years
let go of your fears
There's really nothing to it
Just go on and do it
(Poetry in motion)

You should wait until both of you are ready for that aspect of your relationship. No one can tell you how long that time should be. It is different for everyone because each person is unique and each relationship it unique.
Just from my own personal experience.... I like to wait until it is clear to me that the girl really wants to be with me. I want there to be some sexual tension. I want her to be suggestive to me. So that when finally do get together, it is more exciting because it is something we have waited a while for. But again, you are not me. Maye you want to get her naked as soon as possible or maybe (please no!!!) you want to wait until marriage.

You didn't say how long you've been dating.
Wait until she feels comfortable with the idea.
Treat her always with respect. She will appreciate it.
She will trust you so much more.
There will be more kissing + touching.
You will know... she will let you know.
It may be several months.

come on, you are not a teenager anymore...by now, you should know the proper timing. There is really no rule of thumb on that. It's just whenever you and your partner are ready.
