Actually, it is normal to have E.coli in the body. In fact, it is inside the colon. It is supposed to stay there only. So, you don't have to worry about transferring it to your baby through breastfeeding. What you should worry, is something that you hold on before touching your baby.Beacuse this is the only way you will introduce E. coli or any bacteria in the environment. So, before handling the baby, be sure you sterilize..just by rubbing alcohol to your body or hands will do. Hope this helps. God bless!

Please see the webpages for more details on Escherichia coli. You have to take antibiotic to eliminate e-coli. The same may be harmful to the child. Consult the doctor.

No. But practice good hand hygiene at all times and very good hand hygiene when there's a baby in the family. (This goes for everyone who has contact with the baby, family and visitors, alike)

Your fingers and hand, rather than your milk, may carry the E.coli to your child. Hence you must get yourself treated for E.coli and simultaneously take care of washing your hands carefully before handling the child.

Not through the milk but the baby can catch it from your hands if you don't wash them well enough.

I wouldn't worry about it if you don't have diarrhea.
