Unfortunately, I would have to say yes, because an addiction is an addiction. To stop the spread of HIV/AIDS this is a needed function, but it should be stressed NOT to share needles. Peace.

Absolutely yes! Just because they are drug addicts does not mean that they may not infect a non drug addict with the disease. Besides that, they are still people! They still feel pain and they will still suffer from it. They also have families and people who love them.
Children, elderly, heterosexuals, homosexuals, etc have been infected with this disease through various ways of infection.
Have you ever seen anyone suffer with this illness? I have, my best friend of 22 years died of AIDS. I would not wish this disease on my worst enemy and we must do everything that we can to eradicate it.

Why not. If they are drug addicts and not having a clean needle to use won't stop them.

Or you can look at it from an economical view: It is much cheaper to provide needles than to treat diseases.

My thoughts go something like this: round up all the drug addicts. Give them basic food, water and shelter, and all the drugs they want. Segregate the men and women so you don't end up with new drug addicts. Problem solved
