Informed Christians do not blame Jews for the death of Christ.
We are all guilty (the Jewish Pharisees / Sanhedrin condemned Jesus for Blasphemy-- for claiming to be God; the Roman Governor tried to save him, but was too weak to do so, and so he condemned Jesus to be flogged and the crucified; the Roman Solidiers, gentiles like us, were the ones who actually cruficied Jesus).
Ultimately, Jesus voluntarily died for my sins and yours.
Cordially,
John

Good day.
The solution may be false or poor logic, generalizations, and half-truths.
The Christians blame The Jews? Well t his is the first generalization....some Christians and some people blame The Jews...(it appears the key word 'some' is missing from contemporary philosophy)
1. First of all some Jews were responsible for the death of Jesus Christ, as well as others in the crowd who wanted his death. You can't blame all Jews for the actions of some, just as you can't blame all Americans for the killings of other Americans. There is good and bad in all groups.
2. The Romans were also involved, that is the leader of the day who I beleive was not a Jew.
3. Very important to know that Jesus Christ was a Jew, who loved his mother and worked in his fathers business. ;) (source Lanny Slowshower)
4. All Christians are half Jewish, that is the Christian religion is based on the Jewish faith. In fact the Muslims share in the belief of Abraham, who had two sons, one of which went on to develop one religion and the other another.
5. It was Christs destiny to die, to show us how to deal with false allegations, and abuse; turn the other check. So one might argue that Judas, was one of the great victims of the crucifixtion. In fact Christianity speaks to us to serve God by serving the least of his sheep.
Christ was born to die in the manner he did !
6. Generalized false logic. You cannot generalize about an entire group, based on the few that existed centuries ago....time changes everything...the people who betrayed Christ are now dust...and new people betray "Christ" in an abstract way everyday...
To address a comment made on this forum...'the jews were the chosen people'....well that may have been so some hundreds of years ago...but with the Advent of Christ...those chosen Jews may be now be called Christians...remember Jews and Christians are faith based...and faith changes with time...as do the chosen ones of the day....tomorrow who knows who God will choose....?
To my fellow viewers you must learn that truths can lie....and the link below will help you become more critical....remember nothing is perfect....sin comes in all colours of the rainbow...

Most Christians I know don't, and the few that do so blame a small group of Jews, not the entire nation.
If you read the Bible in its entirety (not just one chapter), you'll see that Christ's death was the fault of all who have sinned over the many centuries: even today, sin that I commit is likened to nailing Him to the cross again. A small group of Jewish leaders may have led the movement to have Christ executed, but they were as deceived by Satan as any sinner in history.

It is true that according to what survives of the bible indicates that the roman officials present who condemned the <> charcter of Jesus to die on a cross were of the Jewish Persuasion, just as Jesus was ( Let us not forget that Jesus was a Jew). Some people over history have blamed the entire body of the Jewish faith as being responsible for the death of Jesus. But this belief is not unlike the American belief that the followers of Islam are inherently responsible for terrorist activities. It is the same slippery slope argument occurring today just a different religion and less credibility among the general public because we live in an age of newspapers, internet and radio.
Just like you say only a handful of jewish people at he time put up Jesus Christ to die. It is only a very small handful of extremely impoverished extremely oppressed people of an extremely peaceful faith, the islamist faith, that resort to these violent activities.
In perhaps 2000 years someone will be asking why the Muslims are being blamed for the death of some bloody right wing Christian religious fanatic if by that time 80 % still need religion as they do now.

Christians who blame the Jews for Jesus's death, (as if they're murderers) don't get it. Yes, the Jews are the ones who called for his death, but part of the point is, Jesus himself was a Jew, and it was his own people who called for his death. His death was meant to happen, it was ordained by God, and the Christian religion believes that his death is what saved us all. It's ignorance for people to say things like "The Jews murdered Jesus."

Why do you generalize like this? ALL Christians feel this way? God planned the death of Christ. It had to be done. If the Jewish people hadn't been around it would have been... someone else. He died. It was a long time ago. Learn the lessons we are supposed to learn from it and live your own life rather than trying to riot over 2000 year old news.

The Sanhedron turned Him over to the Romans, asking the Roman governor to do what they could not do under Roman Law, sentence someone to death. Just follow the course of history, and you find that Christians don't b;ame Jews for killing Jesus, but they acknowledge that He would not have been put to death if the Jewish leaders hadn't thought He was such a threat to themselves.

As a Christian, I am not blaming the Jews (or any other group) for the death of Christ. His death was part of God's plan. He came to earth to die. If anyone is responsible for Christ's death, it's you and me, because he died for your sins and for mine.

I'm not going to answer this as what I personally believe, but why (some) Christians believe it.
It's stated at the Bible that Pontius Pilate (the Roman governor who presided over Jesus's crucifixtion) did not want to put him up for crucifixtion. He only did it because he asked the crowd (predominantly Jewish) whether to crucify Jesus or Barnabas and they said to crucify Jesus. This is where the blame on the Jews comes in.

Christians DO NOT blame Jews for the death of Christ who himself was Jewish. In some playgrounds children have been known , as well as ignorant drunks , to say such things.
