I am a muslim and i don't weild swords and spread religion. Does that make me a bad muslim...i don't think so...coz thats not what we are taught. Believe me if this was what Islam teaches us, it would be an army of one billion people up with swords!!!! You only see a handful of idiots and rioters in muslim countries who can't express their thoughts without violence. Dont' let the media fool you by showing images of people on streets. We are hurt by his remarks but then again so many times our people make similar remarks which too are in bad taste.
Histories of both Islam and Christianity are written in blood, no one can take one out of the context for the sake of attention.

The Pope will simply dye when his time comes; should not dye because he said this or that, he do not kill some one for making a mistake. To everyone his opinion anyway. If he has made a mistake, then it should be pointed out to him, and since he is a public figure, he should simply apologise for offending Muslims, make a public announcement that he made the mistake, and make sure about what to say next time (like check his facts).
Simply put, I am a Muslim who believes that he should not dye because of what he said.

All Muslims are not war-like, however, it's hard to tell them apart. Why are the terrorist Muslims so offended by the truth. The Pope only said the truth, I thought that that was a praise to Muhammad. You don't know what to say to them anymore, you damn if you do and you damn if you don't.

I too think religion is just a waste of time although, having read the bible, I think it is an extrememly interesting & quite well written, if a little longwinded, work of fiction.
You raise some very good points.

No, His Holiness quoted a known anti-muslim and one time world leader who spent much of his empire's time and money persecuting muslims because of their faith and justifying it through the command to spread the word by the sword. (I appologize to muslims everywhere as i am not a student of your faith). Most muslims wouldn't dream of following that command any more than Christians would think of spreading their faith at gunpoint.
This is a misunderstanding at a bad time in history and nothing more. No one should die because of a bad choice of words.

Have you actually read what the Pope said?
Here is a link to the English translation of the Pope's controversial speech: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/speeches/2006/september/documents/hf_ben-xvi_spe_20060912_university-regensburg_en.html

What the heck are those people drinkin over there that makes them so wild and crazy to take everything said out of context. They tell their people such outlandish stuff to get them riled up. They send their people to different countries to get the world riled up. What the heck is their problem anyway?

I'm a Protestant but even i agree with the pope on this one. that's what the crusades were about because they was a huge Muslim army who invaded countries and said, this is the truth if you don't accept it i will kill you. and that's just what they did to people that rejected it. so England wanted to defend itself from them so they had a war with them. but Muslims say they do terrorist attacks to defend themselves from another holy war.THAT IS IDIOTIC England attacked them because there huge army was expanding even more and it was already outnumbering theres so they wouldn't stand a chance if they waited for them to invade.they started the holy war and now they want to prevent it by.................
BLOWING PEOPLE UP.
yeah that's less likely to create another one isn't it.
