In this day and age, 'freedom of expression' is something that will throw up pleasant and unpleasant things at you.
14 years ago, due to reasons which at that time seemed beyond our control forced my spouse to abort what would have been our
third child (a boy). Ten years ago, my wife did have another baby, our second boy and third child. Sometimes we wonder how the child we lost would have been today, and are quite often overcome by guilt, should we not have faced the situation and not gone in for an abortion? But when we see our third child, we wonder if the one that we lost could be as he is, and console ourselves that this was fated to be. But there is one thing that we have both decided - be careful so that never again would we have to kill another child of ours.
Like you, we too would probably be offended by such a T-shirt, but Freedom as I said does give you the pleasant with the unpleasant.

No, the subject is not funny. But the fact that the creator of the shirt wanted to catch attention did just as it was supposed to. The controversy over abortion, Pro-Life, Pro-choice and how people react is a good study.
I think that the shirt designer might have wanted to make light of the situation to point out to people just how worked up they get about the subject. Your reaction, and how you would react if your daughters saw the shirt pretty much sum up your feelings to the whole debate.
Of course the shirt is offensive...it was meant to be. Just like the subject on abortions, it is not going away. This may be a way to confront the very thing people do not want to see/hear.
Use this experience to evaluate how you react to given situations and study what it was that made you so mad.
Have a good day...

Yeah... I have found that even with sensitive topics if there is humor in something offensive, it's just a joke, but that's not even funny. I laughed when I saw a T-shirt that said "I bought Christopher Reeve's wheelchair on Ebay" like a week after the poor dude died, though. Offensive, but funny there.
That's freedom of speech, though.. .just because he's a fool don't let it bother you.

Oh my that is one of the worst things I have ever heard.. That person should be persecuted. I can not believe that some people actually take that issue lightly. That offends me. You tell me where I can find this guy and exactly what company makes this shirt... could you imagine if some young girl read his shirt and really took it serious? I am totally appalled....

Gosh, I don't even get it.
But, yes, that is offensive just for the sheer subject matter.
What I find truly offensive are the giant billboards that religious fanatics post up of in your face abortion photos.
I saw that once on a road trip somwhere and thought, What a way to make a damn statement.
I wanted to burn it down to make my own statement.

Definately not funny. If it was supposed to be a joke it was not a good one. I am not offended cuz I don't think I get it. If I do get it, then perhaps disgusted in the thought of what someone was attempting to promote...which I am really not sure of. I wonder who is making money off such a shirt.

First amendment rights guarantee his ability to wear that shirt. Today's culture gets so offended too easily. I think the fact that you're offended actually inspires people to wear those kinds of shirts. If they received no attention, there wouldn't be an attraction to push the envelope.

It is very tasteless. It's also a shame that he's wearing that to class. Just because you're a college student, it doesn't mean you can't try to dress somewhat appropriately. Hopefully he will have better judgment when he dresses for his first job interview.

people run out of things to put on t-shirts. And some people don't have enough brains to fit in a thimble...guess that guy was one of them....maybe is a good thing he was trying to educate himself. Maybe he picked it up at the Salvation Army rummage sale cause he has nothing else to wear.
