The pain has traveled from his groin area to his left shoulder then to his right shoulder. It is now traveling down his arm. It causes weakness in the uscle to where he cant hold anything for fear he will drop it. what could cause this kind of problem. It stays in an area about two weeks before moving to another area.

Could be a herniated disc in the neck. That causes the shoulder and arm symptoms. I don't know why it would move to another area though or have symptoms in the groin.

It sounds like he needs to see a doctor. I can't believe that you know it moves around every two weeks, as in you've let such intense pain continue for so long without medical attention. Have a doctor tell you what it is, not Yahoo Answers.

Is he taking statins? Is he diabetic? Perhaps he has fibromyalgia. What did his doctor say about this? Why are you asking a bunch of strangers such a serious question? You don't really expect a doctor to be hanging out here, do you?

If this pain is going on for awhile I'd say get him 2 a Doctor ASAP it could have to do with his spine & discs.Good Luck

phantom pain and muscle weakness are symptoms of a variety of neurological disorders. He REALLY needs to see a doctor.

Probably a pinched nerve in neck or shoulder the nerve will become permanently damaged.
