There absolutely is hope. Different things work for different people. For me, my panic and social phobia was so bad I was almost completely agoraphobic. I was finally able to go to the doctor, and he put me on Paxil, and for me anyway, it was a miracle drug. Turned my life around. I am not suggesting you take medication, but it is one option. Please see your doctor.
Take care of yourself.

YES there is hope! I have had it awhile now and it's mostly under control due to meds, though for a lot of people therapy works with that or even alone. Get help. It's worth it, even if it's scary. Good luck.

I have it really really bad. My psychiatrist put me on propanolol and it seems to be working. I can talk to almost anyone. My therapist says the best thing to do for phobias is to gradually expose yourself to the thing that you're afraid of. Hope this helps!

The simple, bottomline answer is yes there is . Jesus Christ says "come to me, you who are weary, I shall give you rest for your soul." If you are weary of social phobia, Jesus asks you to lay it down before Him and He promises that He will replace it with the peace that passes all understanding.

If you are a woman in the US, UK, Canada or Australia, there is a place called Mercy Ministries who help people like you. People like you find real hope and healing there through Jesus Christ. Otherwise, contact Alf Davis of Agape Ministries to find out where he has an inner-healing counsellor near you.

I can only help you so far, but to have a real solution, only someone near you can help you. I suggest finding ASAP a bible-believing, spirit-filled church that is driven by intercession, worship, and prophecy... and find a solid believer there who you can trust . This is important because in order to get out of your situation you need other people's support. If you are afraid, say this prayer out loud and mean it:

Dear Jesus,
I come to you as a sinner in need of your forgiveness and as a social phobic in need of your deliverance. Thank you for dying on the cross for me so that my sins can be forgiven and so that I may be healed from this social phobia. Please come into my heart and be my Saviour.
From now on I nail this phobia to the cross, I refuse to stay under its control, I choose to have nothing more to do with it, and I break it and destroy it in Jesus' name. Holy Spirit I ask that you protect me with your holy fire and unbreakable wall, and that you clothe me with your peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus' name, amen.

Yea, but it's a long road. Therapists and possibly psychiatrists can help. Praying for an easy cure won't do anything!

YES! Think like this: Bush and Cheney are war criminals that have destroyed lives and killed many and they still show up in public with no shame.

In comparison, someone like you should be proud and walk around with head held high!
