A friend is working with a non profit group in a park to do a community Haunted House, and is looking for sources to get candy of any kind donated for all the little trick-or-treaters. I'd appreciate any suggestions from those who have knowledge of such.

You should try appealing to local businesses to donate money to buy candy or have a candy drive where people can donate bags.

Hmmmm honestly I dont know but I do remember back in 04 when my church was like ok were not suppose to talk about politics because were a non profit group but you can see who we are supporting by the tshirts we are wearing. Actually I'm watching TV right now and yes it is but the IRS doesnt go around taking away tax privledges. Only 2 churches in the last 50 years have had there privledges taken away and one of them took a full page ad out in the USA today so go figure.

Try going to your local dollar stores or the grocery store and see if they might help you out! Wal-Mart has big bags of candy and I would think that they might be willing to donate! Just have your friend ask around.

Why not call the candy company's customer services directly. You can try Hershey or Mars. I'm sure they have tax deductable donations that they're happy to grant.
