It takes a long time and a lot of determination. Every chance you get squeeze those tummy muscles in as tight as you can and hold them in for as long as you can. If you are doing any exercises you need to tighten up the core of your body which is the tummy ,lower back, thighs, pelvis and butt. So any time you are walking squeeze these parts in and hold. You can do them together or separate while walking, swimming or any other exercises you do or while lying in bed, watching TV. Whenever you can!!!It does take time because those muscles have been stretched out to the max and have a really hard way to get back to where they were. Belly dancing???? Good Luck!

How long has it been since you gave birth and did you have a C-section?If you did, it will take a while for those ab muscles to repair themselves and get strong again. Keep doing as much as you can cardiovascularly (any exercise that makes you sweat for a minimum of 30 min.) and strength training. Most women will always have a bit of a "pooch" after having a baby, so having a 6 pack might not be realistic. The exercise ball is a good suggestion too.Good luck!

Get one of those exercise balls. Do crunches and "ball cobras" on it. If the ball doesn't instructions on how to do ab exercises, search on the internet by "exercise ball" or try a yoga site.

This will help strengthen your abs without putting stress on those over-stretched muscles.

You'll need to eat right and get general cardio too (walking, etc).
