He nibbles or sucks a little on lip, runs tongue once across, and that's it, (no it's not my breath), he just doesn't linger there, and ladies, isn't the french kiss VERY important??

when he starts to pull away pull him in . lightly give him a little peck kiss on the lips then initiate the french kiss.
hold the back of his neck. my guy says he loves it when i do that because he feels like hes the only thing i want nothing else is in my mind but him

What it seems like is that he doesn't have the drive and the turn-on that you have towards him. Passion is very important. But it could also very well be he doesn't think he is good at it. So start off when he starts nibbling or running his tongue across that you tell him it feels good, or tell him when he sucks on your lip it makes you tingle, you know something that will make him want to do it more often. I tell my boyfriend all the time how his kisses turn me on, because first of all they really do and secondly it is always nice to hear something that your other half likes. Hopefully all works out!

People aren't born with the ability to kiss. Maybe he can't do it properly (or thinks he can't). Maybe is thinks you wont like it. Best thing to do is to initiate the kiss and see what happens. If he pulls back then tell him its okay and you will lead the way. If he pulls back and flees in horror then you need to sit him down and find out why he doesnt like it that much.
Its not all about the french kiss in a relationship anyway... the way you describe his kissing is nice, its a tease, and would be a turn on, maybe just get him to do that longer and then the tongue will slowly makes its way in.

OMG absolutely the french kiss will make or break a relationship if I do say so myself, If they can't kiss just imagine what else they can't do right! Let him know how you want to be kissed just tell him straight up!

Let him feel comfortable doing it..give him time, maybe he isn't ready and is shy if he does it too long and you want to stop and you pull away..he may fear the embarassment..He needs to want to do it longer and feel more comfortable..tell him its okay to do it longer and you will not pull away and embarass him
