I sleep in the same room as my mom, and mosquitos only bite her. I've recieved a very small amount of bites this year, and none at all last year. Why do they only get my mom, and not me?

I use nothing... my mom, however, showers herself in OFF every night.

Maybe something you use they don't like...skin so soft, or something like that.

mosquitos go to an animal or person partly because of the body heat that they give off. its possible that your mom has a higher natrual body temp that attracts the mosquitos, also i've heard of mosquitos flocking to certain blood types though i don't know the credibility of that claim... hope that helps :)

It really depends on the medication you or your mother is taking. My son has never been bitten because of his ADHD medication. I get eat up by the mosquitos ALL the time. Find out, you may be suprised

My hubby drinks beer and he never gets bit. I, on the other hand, hate beer and I am a feast for the little pests. I think it has alot to do with how you "smell" to them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT MAKE YOU ATTRACTIVE TO MOSQUITOES ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There are certain scents and chemicals given off by some peop that make them more susceptible to bites and more attractive to mosquitoes.

Mosquitos seem to be attracted to such things as:
--heat
--perspiration
--certain medicines
--floral fragrances
--dark clothing

On top of that, your attractiveness to mosquitoes changes on a daily basis.

For a somewhat scientific-type check of your personal susceptibility to mosquitoes, see the OFF! Mosquit-O-meter to find how you rate:
