hepatitis c is a serious disease! you should already be on antiviral chemotherapy had you done follow up labs and a biopsy of the liver.

hepatitis c will cause liver damage, thus, your liver is not functioning properly, it could cause toxicity buildup in the blood and cause the itching. *bulibrium will cause itching and is also associated with yellowing of the skin and eyes due to kidney malfunction...

hepatitis c is not just a liver disease, however, it is called hepatitis because with out the liver, the virus would not be able to send it's genetically changed virons each cycle. it wears your liver down, causes fibrosis and can cause cirrhosis (hardening of the liver), liver failure and even liver cancer.

HCV is found in all samples of tissue all through out the body. When the liver is effected, the other organs have to work harder to function.

HCV causes many bi-directional diseases....I would see a gastrointerologist and get on the chemo wagon.

Good luck
*as one poster has stated, diabetes can cause the same issue...diabetes type 2 can go hand in hand with hcv as well as other disorders of the liver...

Hepatitis C is a liver disease. And liver is essential in cleaning out toxic wastes and production of blood components so if it is badly infected with virus, then this will cause the dysfunctions of the whole system.Yes, skin is affected.Jaundice is first then itchiness, roughness will occur also. I can not tell you what stage it is because actually, once diagnosed it should have given medications especially for the liver.Antiviral meds could help. I just hope your body is producing the antibody now. I'm not so aware of the cure rates for this, you can check the website for statistics BUT some end up as carriers. Hope this helps. God bless!

Chronic hepatitis B or C can often lead to more serious health problems. Because the virus primarily affects the liver, people with chronic hepatitis B or C are at risk for:

chronic liver disease
cirrhosis (scarring of the liver)
cancer of the liver (in rare cases)

To know more measures to improve liver you can see all information related to fatty liver diseases at:http://adola.net/go/fattyliver-bible/

you want to see a doctor ASAP cause treatment delay can be quickly fatal if treatment is warranted (that your doctor will determine based on some tests). It can cause itching if your bilirubin is elevated, once again need to see the doctor. It is fatal if not treated appropriately, feel free to email me
