My experiance (with 3 airlines)

Best=JAL. Food was great, HOT face washes before every meal, drinks on the hour every hour, confident flight staff. The only down side was that is was an older plane so there was no TV in the back of your seat

Worst=Jetstar (Aussie Domestic) No legroom, pay $6 AUD for a packet of M&Ms!!! The worst landing. It was wet and windy but this landing was out of control!!!
JETSTAR IS NEVER ON TIME!!!!!!!

Upside. Cheep

Favorite Domestic airline is JetBlue. They nave newer A300's for their fleet of aircraft and each seat comes with free Direct TV - no rental fee for headsets.

I flew round trip from San Diego to Dulles Virginia last November.

The worst domestic airline in recent days is United Airlines.

My 16 year old niece was visiting my 21 year old nephew in Anchorage Alaska last month and she flew home on United Airlines.

She extended her trip by a few days and my sister had to pay $100.00 for the ticket change.

When she was flying home to San Diego, she was routed with a stop-over in San Francisco. the flight from San Francisco was cancelled and they told my sister that they were going to put her up in a hotel. They also told her that they could not allow her to be in a room all by herself because of her age so they would find somebody else (i.e a total stranger) to share the room with her. They also told her that they would put her on the first flight out the next morning. My niece did not have any money on her and United Airlines did not want to give her any food vouchers - she was already quite hungry.

In the end, we got them to fly her into Los Angeles and I had to drive up to Los Angeles (125 miles each way) to take her home. When she got to Los Angeles, her checked luggage was not there. Once we filed a report in their baggage office, they advised us that her luggage had already been flown to San Diego and it was waiting for her! How could her luggage get there without her?

In the end, United sent a $200 travel voucher for a future trip - they might get a small claims court lawsuit instead of a repeat customer.

The best airline I've ever flown is KLM- the food was good, they handed us warm washclothes before every meal, they gave us quite a few snacks including ice cream in between meals, they came around with the drink cart almost hourly the entire 10 hour flight and they had an open galley where they had water, orange juice and tomato juice? available as well as chocolate and pretzels almost the entire flight.

NWA- was one of the worst. While their flights were meticulously ontime, we had no onboard entertainment the entire 5 hour flight, we were only given a tiny bag of pretzels and the seats were kinda cramped if I remember right. While I am sure that there are worse airlines, they are the worst that I have flown.

The worst is Iberia. Flying economy on Iberia is torturous - the least leg room of any airline I've ever been on. The stewardesses have attitudes and they look like old, bitter crones.

The best is Singapore Airlines. Business class is exquisite. The customer service is wonderful. The food was the best I've ever eaten. Try baby salad greens topped with sauteed scallops with ginger dressing. Try your choice of 3 entrees. Capuccinos or espressos on request; great wines. Even better are the business class seats that turn into vertical beds.

Best is definitely Lufthansa. Flew from Rome, Italy to Frankfurt, Germany on an early morning flight, and they gave us two breakfasts! A warm one soon after takeoff and a cold "snack" a while before landing... And warm, damp washcloths about an hour before landing to help wake up. Also, they have really comfy leather seats.

The best flight I've ever taken was by Lufthansa from London to Stuttgart. Very short but really comfortable and great service.
The worst was Alitalia, delayed for hours, coming home from Rome to Buenos Aires.

Worst goes to Hughes Airwest (no longer in existance)

i was taking a shuttle flight from Boise ID to Seattle WA.

Now, they had a fabulous lunch, but the pilot couldn't fly well.

We hit an airpocket and my food was zero-G for a moment.

They is something disconcerting about seeing your club sandwich and bottle of wine hang motionless in the air.

Wanting to make sure we all enjoyed it, it happened two more timnes
