I hate my water, too. We live in SW Missouri and we have VERY hard water. I can add lemon to it and make it tolerable, but I like lemon. Since you don't, I would recommend green tea. I have a 32 ounce thermal cup that I drink from. If I drink it twice, I hit my minimum water intake. The first time, as soon as I wake up, I fill it with boiling water and steep a green tea bag. When it's gone, I either make another, or do my lemon water. You could just do green tea twice, though. :) Plus (they haven't proven it yet) but they think green tea raises your metabolism. Good luck!

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

All the experts are saying nowadays that any liquid you get counts towards your eight glasses a day. Some are better than others, obviously. My husband doesn't like water either so he mostly drinks iced tea or Fruit2o, which depending on the flavor can be pretty o.k. tasting. A lot of diet drinks have a nasty after taste but sometimes you just have to suck it up and deal with it for a bit while you get used to it. Maybe you can balance out drinking regular drinks and cut back in other foods/drinks you intake or just getting a bit more exersize to compensate?

Water isn't the cause of weight loss by itself. You can drink it to curb hunger which is essentially tricking your body but without a controlled diet and excercise any losses will be very temporary. Crystal light has some good flavors if you truly can't stomach water. Try different brands of bottled water, I know some will say water doesn't taste, but it does so give it a shot.

exercise, exercise, exercise, you have to burn off what you are intaking, water is awesome, 8-10 glasses a day or half your body weight in ounces, dont eat after 7 pm, eat 6 small meals a daya instead of 3 big ones, dont skip meals its the worst thing you can do. (when you skip meals, or not eat enough your bosy goes into starvation mode and stores what ever you do eat at fat, if you feed your body frequently every 3 hrs then it knows more is comming and your metabolism rises and burns it off cuz it knows to make room for more calories. Lay off the junk food, eating whole wheat is a good choice, stay away from foods with saturated and trans fats, but most off all make healthier choices, proper portion sizes and exercise, I work at curves for women and it works aweome for me good luck

Most bottled water has no taste, and I have never heard of water giving someone gas. Are you drinking Perrier? Besides water, you should exercise and modify your eating habits.

Yes there are many things other than water that help you. Water doen't really help. But i think you can watch what you eat daily, for instance instead of eating a bag of chips eat half, just be careful. Also you can excerise daily it really help. Last but not least try thinking alot ( stressing) it tried it it really does help you lose weight. Good Luck!

Water can't give you gas unless it has air bubbles in it. Keep it bottled in the fridge for a few days so tiny air bubbles come out of it.
Put orange slices in it instead of lemon, it'll be sweeter.
Also try brewing sun tea.

Do you have well water? That may be why you don't like it. Good water doesnt really have a taste.
And it shouldn't be giving you gas.

Try Evian water - all other water tastes bad to me too and gives me problems too. Try good quality japeneese green tea, but not the canned kind, the kind that you steep.
