Being outside is a priviledge. If she is causing a problem, you gotta bring her in unless supervised.

Make sure your neighbor is correct that it really is your cat doing this before you lay blame. Has your neighbor seen your cat doing this? Your cat is used to being outdoors and she's fixed. Have you ever gotten a complaint before? I say there's a strong chance your neighbor is mistaken. Keep your promise to your neighbor about keeping the cat indoors and touch base with your neighbor. If your neighbor's car wheels are still being urinated on when your cat hasn't been outside you can be relieved that your cat's not the culprit and her behavior is just fine.......then demand an apology from your neighbor! Good luck.

I am concerned about your saying she "has been cranky" lately. This could mean that something physical is out of whack with her. I hope you will consider taking her for some veterinarian investigation as she might be ill.

Your neighbor has been very considerate to talk to you about the problem the cat is creating. Do all your cats go outside? It is possible to "convert" a cat from outdoors to indoors. You just do it and she will have to accept it.

I have a neighbor that is obsessed with his car. My cat takes great delight in waiting until he wipes his car off with a rag and sets the alarm and goes inside and then jumps on the car and set the alarm off and runs and watches him come out and curse at all the cats and kids in the neighborhood. Cats have a sense who that will give them attention positive or negative and then just do what ever it takes. I suppose you should be happy your little kitty is not sharpening her claws on the roof of his car. Then say "oh she was in all day and night". or something like that. Mine use to beat up the neighbors dog and i had to pay the vet bills for a bunch of little scratches! Hey that got expensive

Your lucky to have a neighbor who is nice enough to ask you to kindly keep your cat off her car. She could take you to court and make you pay to clean the car each time she leaves paw prints or pees on it. You have to do whatever it takes to make sure your cat stops this behavior or you may end up with a missing or worse......... cat! It is YOUR responsibility to keep YOUR cat off the car. PERIOD!

That's probably bull because girl cats don't spray. Male cats do that. Your cat might be climbing on the hood to keep warm. Cats in my neighborhood do that too. Provide a warm enclosed space for your cat. That will help with climbing on the car.

the stray cats around here do the same thing to my truck. they lay on it for warmth or sometimes the coolness of the metal. the only way to keep the cat off the car is to keep her inside. allowing your cat to run can end up getting your cat killed by a mad neighbor, car, another animal, or poison

Cats are hard animals to figure out. I think they do allot of things for no good reason at all. Getting on the car is something all cats do. I haven't seen a cat yet that doesn't jump up on a car when given a chance.

At the petstore they sell this spray that keeps cats from going near certain areas of your house, such as windows when they keep coming around begging for food. Get this stuff and spray it in the area of the neighbors car when they aren't looking. Your neighbor won't know you did it and the cat should now stop going near that area. Look into it, and good luck. :-)
