oooh, it's very cold where I live and raining. If I could take advantage of a beautiful day, with no cost.......
-go to the library, pack a picnic lunch and go to the beach or the park (this tires child out), go home, bath child, read a few stories, feed child, pop him/her into bed, make a wonderful supper for you two, cuddle.................

Well I live in Canada, but we spend a lot of time in Fla. Just like here I've seen plenty of free community newspapers around. We usually find them at the food store. In those there is usually a calendar of community events & most are free.
Check around the local shopping malls, sometimes they plan events to attract people into the mall in the hopes that they'll do some shopping while they are there.
Just about every community in Florida has a website of their own, so you may get some ideas from your local Chamber of Commerce, or hometown website.
Plan your family day on a state or national holiday, because there is almost always a parade of some kind on those days.
Round out the day with a trip to the beach, or a local park that doesn't charge an entrance fee.
Have Fun.

I think its a nice day out to go to the park for a picnic, your 9 month old can play around and explore and you can have a nice lunch and enjoy the outdoors, all it will cost you is a blanket from home and something to eat

the most it will cost is gas money
1. make some picnic foods
2. pick a place on the map, about 50 miles from home, go there walk around, enjoy the sites of the new area.
3. drive a longer route home, checking out the sites. Baby should be tired form all the car riding...you will be alone...

Basically for the cost of gas and road tolls- just go for a drive. A LONG DRIVE.The baby will enjoy the ride. And it will give you and the hubby lots of time to just talk or be silent. I grew up in FL (WPB)and I knew the roads are pretty boring and flat. Call me crazy- I just love car rides.

i would suggest to throw a picnic together from stuff you have in your pantry and fridge and go to a local park. its fun, free and some of them have those water spouts that can keep you cool. Then come home give the little one a bath, find a good movie on tv, relax and hopefully drink a bottle of wine by candle light.

The beach, the park, a picnic in your backyard, make up some games to play at home.
Just turn the tv off and enjoy being together.

Try the zoo. I live in St. Louis and the zoo here is free. If its not free where you are try a petting zoo or farm thing, even if they charge it will be just 3 or 4 dollars. All babys like animals, its worth a shot.
