You'll lose some of it by dieting and exercising. Yet, that "belly" area is so very stubborn to get rid of. If you are younger than 40, you probably could do crunches, sit ups, walking and weights and pretty well get it in good shape. However, the older you get the harder it is to lose the tummy. Some people's whole body shrinks when they lose weight and they look good every where else, but the shrunken tummy still bulges out. It is a curse. I wish you tons of luck.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

It s not a good idea to diet because as soon as you start eating the normal amount of food, you put on a lot more weight than before. Doing stomach crunches is the best option but you need to consult a trainer incase you suffer from any health problems like asthma or something like that.

I would recommend walking. Start off slow and
also look at balanced meals. You could even go
see a dietian to assist you with a good program
to help you find the balance for your meals.
Exercise, is just one part of it. Find actitives you
enjoy and soon you'll notice a difference if you
build a routine to help you be the best you can
be. Have fun with your plan to reduce.
