I suppose you could. You would have to adjust for sugar content, though, since Ovaltine has sugar added and cocoa powder doesn't (unless you're using pre-sweetened cocoa powder, like hot cocoa mix).

For the best results, I would stick to cocoa. It's what the recipe calls for in the first place. Sometimes substitutions change the result. Just my opinion. :)

No. Ovaltine is for making chocolate milk & shakes. You need Hershey's Baking Cocoa powder or other similar brand.

YES. You can use whatever you want. Now if the recipe calls for cocoa and you don't use it ... it will not taste right. But you still can use whatever ingredients you have.
It will be a waste of time ..

Cocoa is pure chocolate, bitter, dark, and without the milk and butter and stuff they add to it.
