There are a few ways to deal with this. You *could* try the "friends network" where you try to get your friends to find out for you or try to find out information from his friends. Or you could try to drop hints and see how he reacts or see if you can get one of your friends to flirt with him and see if they get the same reaction or not.
But honestly, I think you are better off going the direct route and finding out for yourself. No chance of miscommunication misunderstandings, and less chance of something backfiring on you. What you do need to ask yourself is whether or not the potential reward is worth the potential humiliation. In my opinion, if you think you have even a half way decent shot, it's worth it to risk it every time. The possible gain is a friend or partner for life;the humiliation doesn't last all that long (even if it seems like it at the time).

Sounds like he likes you. Go ahead and ask him out. What do you have to lose? Besides, maybe he's shy and might be happy you asked him and will say yes!
If he says no, it's not the end of the world. Guys go through this stuff all the time.

Yes, he likes you. Definately. You can ask him out if you want but remember we can't always get what we want. Trust me, I've been rejected before. But I'm not giving up, I'm gonna keep trying till' I win his heart. That's what you should do. It sounds like he might be a good boyfriend, try asking or if you are too nervous write him a note and stick it in his locker or whenever you can. :)

it sounds like he likes u but u might want to wait a while before making a move. hang out with him as friends (but don't say that because he'll think you're not into him) and see how it goes. u could also be like, i'm gonna catch a movie saturday, wanna come? and see how that turns out too. also, if you're that kinda girl and he's that kinda guy, play hard to get! ;)

He will probably say yes if you ask him, but if he is shy he will say no, maybe fearing you are pranking him and are not serious about it. Let the friendly relationship with you and him prosper longer, and see if he asks you out. Let your friendly bond grow larger, and make your move, if he hasn't made his by then.
Wish ya luck, sweety

Sounds shy...if he's keeping eye contact when talking to you and keeping the conversation going he likes you. Tell him to call you so you can talk in private and he'll be more comfortable that way.

He probably likes you, yes. Ask him out--don't worry about being "humiliated"...rejection stings a little bit, but your life doesn't end because of it. Good luck.

Invite him to do something with you like studying together or a meal at your house not a restaurant. Make it casual and not seem too serious not like a formal date.
