Maybe you're not eating enough to keep your body in energy-using (metabolizing) mode.

Start eating right and from all food groups. A couple of apples and an orange a day? You've so slowed down your metabolism! No wonder your not losing anything.

If you're not eating enough, your body shuts down because it thinks it's fasting. When it does this, your metabolism slows down and you don't lose weight...no matter how much exercise you do.

It's good that u run for 1 hour & do 30 min of sit up everday. But you need to understand that why u r not losing ur weight. If you are taking more calories in ur diet & not able to burn it properly then it's obviously you will not loose ur weight.

Following are the tips that you should follow in order to loose weight:

1) Stop eating Junk food, any food which is oily, butter.

2) Add more & more salad in ur diet. Try to eat more fruits.

3) You should drink water atleast of 4-5 liters daily.

4) Do some freehand & stretching exercise for 15-20 min daily.

5) Continue ur runing.

6) Eat those things which having more protien like: Egg & cheese
3 eggs would be idle for u but don't eat youlk part (the yellow one).

7) Stop drinking.

8) Do 40 situp in the morning & evening.

In that way you will loose 16-18 lb within 3 months.

Best of luck.

Generally, you can only lose weight if you burn more calories than you take in. However, ironically, if you eat too little (2 apples and 1 orange each day) then the body freaks out and thinks you're stuck in the middle of a famine and will do everything in it's power to keep you from losing weight.

You have target that range between the amount that triggers a starvation response (too few calories) and the amount you're burning (too many calories).

For help in figuring that out, there are lots of friendly yahoogroups including More_Muscle which is found at:

Good luck!

Your metabolism shuts down because you eat so little food that it thinks you are starving. It's our body's built in survival technique. If you run 1 hour a day and do sit ups, you should eat at least 1000 calories a day. Eat veggies, fruit, skim milk, meat, and some bread. Bake or grill your meat, eat chicken 4 oz a meal. One day a week treat yourself to something you absolutely love. See if that works or you will be malnutritioned and all your teeth will fall out. Oh, and drink lots and lots of water.

You can run/jog.... everyday but unless you get your heartrate abnormally high, you'll never begin to burn off excess body fat.

Running - this is sprinting, not jogging. Enough to maintain a steady heartrate for a while. 45-mins - 1 hour is perfect.
then Swimming - Laps not playing. for about an hour maybe after you run.

then eating right. Make yourself regular too, have a set schedule within your body that you do a #2 at least once a day, maybe eating more bran if possible...

You need to do some strength training. Just remember Muscle Eats Fat. . If you read the Abs Diet book there is a wealth of information on diet and strength training And you don't have to over do it either and become buff. I bought the Total Gym which is a wonderful strength training machine. one thing though when you start building muscle you might gain weight(muscle is heavier than fat) but once your metabolism it reved up your muscles become a fat burning machine. Protein is an excellent food for your muscles also.

Are you saying that you only eat 2 apples and 1 orange a day??? If so that is why your not losing weight. Its a natural defense for your body to save fat since you are not eating enough. You will be losing "weight" but you are going to lose muscle first since you are not eating enough protein. Just eat balanced meals and keep your calories low, but not as low as you have them. 1000-1200 would probably be good for you. Don't starve yourself!

Don't expect overnight results. Maintain a healthy diet, beef is ok...really. Candy and soda pop are big no no's. Fast food and french fries are also taboo. Veggies, fruits, and water (in place of candy bars and sodas) are good for you. Exercise regularly (especially aerobic) for 40 minutes to 1 hour every day under supervision of a doctor or professional trainer (or trusted source). You will see real results in about 3 months. 1-3 years for a big transformation.

You are starving yourself. When you do not take in enough calories, your body goes into starvation mode, survival mode, it holds on to every calorie and stores it as fat, no matter what the food is to try to keep it alive. YOu need to eat healthy. You are not.
