Hello Toronto
You are correct about one thing...... There is no ever burning hell.
For the most part, I continue to be somewhat amazed as to the beliefs of inteltigent living, breathing, thinking, reasoning ( or capable of thinking ) beings.
It truely is mind boggling as to what people believe without study or research into the validity of the things which they are told or taught. Most people that call themselves christian believe there is a place that is called hell that has an everburning fire. They believe this because they have been taught from the time they were small children that such a place does exsit. A place where upon death, evil people are forced to go and are tormented eternally with a fire that is seemingly destitute of the power to burn up or destroy or even blister. Would a God that say's He is love (1John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.) really assign such a penalty upon a person which was of his own creation? A place that does not destroy, a place that is only capable of mentally tormenting for ever and ever. A place that is controled by a person wearing a red body suit with a long tail which has a trident on the end?
There is no ever burning hell.
The English word hell is written 23 times in the New Testament King James version. It is translated 11 time from the Greek word hades {hah'-dace} which means grave.
It is translated 12 times from the greek word geenna {gheh'-en-nah} which should have been rendered "Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire". ". This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction.
It is the place of the future punishment of those that will not enter into the Kingdom of God. A one time punishment not an eternial punishing.
An Italian Florentine poet, Durante degli Alighieri, better known as Dante Alighieri or just Dante, June 1, 1265 – September 13/14, 132, created the idea of the hell that is taught to the world. Through his stage play la Divina Commedia (The Divine Comedy) the whole world has been and is being decived about a place that does not exist nor will it ever come into being.. The Divine Comedy describes Dante's journey through Hell (Inferno), Purgatory (Purgatorio), and Paradise (Paradiso). It was only a play, the works of the imagination of a man. However the Roman Catholic Church took the idea and ran with it and has long since convinced an unsuspecting world that
the writings of Dante are indeed an acurate rendition of a place of eternal punishing of all evil people. God is in total disagreement with the Catholic Church and all other that preach and teach that there is an ever burning hell, a place of eternal punishing, a place where the evil go after death.
Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day is coming, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day thats coming shall burn them up, say's the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Malachi 4:3 And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, say's the LORD of hosts.
However you did not know for a certain there is no ever burnning hell. Neither have you ever tried to prove or disprove the bible. History, yes history proves that the bible is accurate. Every prophecy that God said would happen, has happen or is happening. If you will get a firm grip on your left ear with your right hand and another grip on the right ear with the left hand then pull really hard you can pull you hear out of yourass. You can then understand that the prophecys for our time are comming to pass, really fast. Let me put one on you.
In the year 2007 there is going to be a recession. That recession will later become a depression. This depression will make the great depression look like a picnic. You will most likely strave to death with the other one hundred million Americans which are to die durning that time. No you are not going to an ever burnning hell. However you might very well be thrown into the fire described above. Another prophecy: The Germans with nine others nations from Europe are comming here to the U.S.A. and kick our tails, they are going to kill one third of us, and take the rest captive. Start watching the news. Keep your eyes and ears attached to what the Germans are doing. Have a great day.

First of all ...Hell is a REAL place. It is a place that Jesus says is filled with weeping & knashing of teeth, in outer darkness..a place where there are NO good things, like love, kindness, friends, etc....
However to say that YOU are going there based on your statement, would not be prudent for anyone to tell you! We. as Christians are called to judge (inspect) the fruit of others. Meaning to observe that which they do...does it glorify the Lord or not?...But we are NOT called to judgement of others, (condemnation) as that is the domain of God alone! I hope that someday you will take the time to actually read the bible & find a relationship with Jesus Christ..I think that you will find He is really NOT the "sissy, momma's boy" that you presume.

Yes, but not because of JUST what you said, but because EVERYONE HAS to go to hell when they die. The Bible teaches that Hell is nothing more than the "common grave" of all mankind.
It uses 4 words for hell in the Bible, look them up, none of them are a burning hell, and the words used are Sheol, Hades, Gehenna and Tartarus. When you get finished reading them you will see that Hell is nothing more or less than a "sleep" that everyone must endure. Even Christ died and went to hell for 3 days, do you think that a perfect, sinless man would burn for 3 days? That would make no sense.
Good luck!

We can get away with sin. We can escape the shame of being discovered, judged, and punished. Yes, we can do evil and get away with it--in this life. However, we cannot escape the eye of God, nor the judgment of God. "For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings" (Prov. 5:21). "For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil" (Eccl. 12:14). "The Lord...will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the heart" (1 Cor. 4:5).
Do not feel safe in your secret sins. Just because no one saw you, just because no one knows, just because no one heard you, just because no one can read your mind, it does not mean that you have gotten away with sin. Have you "trusted in thy wickedness," saying, "none seeth me"? You had better think again!

If it were real you'd be damned by now, because there's no such thing as freedom of expression in the realm of god. But since it is not true, and there is no hell or heaven, you're entitled to your own opinion, provided that there is freedom of expression wherever you are, and in this site, to begin with...

Read "A Course In Miracles" Jesus was real. Who he was and what he stood for has been horribly distorted.
The Bible is fiction, God is EVERYTHING and hell is not real. SO, I think that you are safe!

It sounds like you don't really want an answer to your question.
If you believe as you say you do in the question then you are already in HELL.

I do believe in heaven and hell.
One thing is for sure...hell can exist today in your own life if you do not accept Jesus as your Savior. You should go to mass.
