I have heard that freezing water in plastic bottles cam be harmful. Apparently there is a chemical reaction between the plastic and the bottle that has been found to cause cancer. I thought that the person who told me was kidding but apparently her mother "a breast cancer survivor'' heard it from her doctor. I won't do it again that's for sure.

No it will not kill you.As long as you leave maybe a little room in the bottle about 1-2 inches separating the water from the cap,it will be fine.I've been doing it all my life && im still in tact so i guess its not harmful.But yah just leave some room && it should be okay! =]

Don't freeze them more than half-full, or the expanding water will crack them. A half-container of ice is still plenty to keep it cold. In fact, to be able to drink it w/o a brain freeze, I'd do them only 1/3 full.

I would think freezing would kill the germs.
Leave a little bit of air when you're freezing something in a container, since water expands when frozen. Never freeze carbonated liquid.

as long as it has some airspace in the bottle it should be ok.
make sure the you can see at least an inch or air from the bottom of the cap

if you put a sealed water bottle in the freezer the water expands as it freezes so I would open it first pour a table spoon or so out then freeze it.

Not unless u put it in a glass and you open the freezer just as it
expands,breaks the glass and you catch a fragment in your eye
or something.

um no i've been doing it for along time and i'm not dead you just have to wash the bottle sometimes you know, so you don't die?
