You need to show them you are a very responsible person. If you walk around with a chip on your shoulder it will cause tension. Spend more time with them.

Just because someone is a parents, does not mean they are good at it.
Sometimes it is easier to blame others, than taking a good look at ourselves.
I have found that some people are just very neg. and these type of people are very difficult to be around.
Are you to blame at all for their opinion on you?
I wish I had some particulars, then it would be an easier question to answer.
Only you know the real answer. If you are unjustly persecuted, I am so sorry, it must be difficult. Try and keep a positive attitude and above all, make a conscious effort not to be like your parents.
