Male cats are not homophobic. Some cats bond only to one person. Some to just the familly but no one else.

To ease your mind a bit-cats are not homophobic. Only humans can claim that little title. I happen to own a male cat and have had several in the past-no problem. Sometimes, and I do mean sometimes, a human will give off a scent that an animal doesn't care for and thus a reaction-sometimes mild and other times violent. Vets. have had trouble with that for years.
If you put a bit of tuna oil on your wrist-just a tiny dab- Mr. Kitty should come around-if not - react fast.

I doubt that the cat is homophobic but there's probably something about you that the cat doesn't care for. It could be anything or a combination of things like the smell of your shampoo combined with deodorant and your laundry detergent plus your own odor. Try bringing cat toys or treats over and make a fuss over opening the packaging. The cat may warm up to you. Don't take any of this personally - cats are just weird and they won't tell us what they really think.

No, cats don't sense homosexuality. Try this, when you get in the house, totally ignore the cat, don't even look at it. I am sure after a couple of visits the cat might come to you. Cats don't like to be totally ignored. Some people don't like cats but it seems the cat will constantly single out that person to sit on their lap, like it is determined to make you like her.Try it, pretend she's not there.
Good Luck

this is not 'gay', we've pherormones there and some cats are mushy to the heady scent of particular human beings. i have had cats that attempted to scouse borrow my bra--yet in basic terms even as it develop into sweaty, under no circumstances a sparkling washed one. It develop into the pheromones on it, they wanted to roll on it. do not placed human behaviors on wide-spread cat habit, there is not something incorrect with the cat. He lives a bored stay interior and it really is something unusual that he can check out and have a glance at slightly till eventually that receives boring too. particular perfumes will reason a cat to do an same behaviors.

give the cat some time to get to know you a little bit, some cats don't like to have a lot of petting or to be held. you can give it some treats

My best guess is that you look like the cat's vet. This sounds hokey, but think about it. What do vets do? They give shots, put on muzzles, draw blood, poke, prod, stick thermometers you-know-where. I've known several cats who were sickly that after awhile not only didn't like men who resembled their vet, but didn't like men period!

animals can sense if there's something wrong. i'm not saying that there's anything wrong with you, but i doubt the cat can tell if you're gay. so he can't be homophobic. don't worry about the cat. just don't pet it.
