I don't usually answer this kind of questions. I don't believe in prayer, but I respect you for believing. Besides, those who ask for prayer are usually in great distress. So it's not humane to attack them when they cling to something they strongly believe in.
But you do have to understand that the church you cherish so much has hurt and even killed a lot of people. Some of us have a right to be resentful with it. I know it's not fair to take it out on you. But churches do generate a great deal of hatred, and then they have to cope with it.
That being said, I'm not interfering with your request for a prayer. I'm not praying myself, but I have nothing to say about your request.

Dead religions have no heretics. There are some of us who question and doubt. Some feel religion is silly superstition, barbaric and brutal. When you ask for prayer, there are some who equate that with asking that a chicken's entrails be consulted to predict the future.
Some people are mean, some are sarcastic, some pose paradoxes and the preposterous satire.
I believe in democracy and free speech. There are some religious nuts who would destroy our American democracy and replace it with an intolerant bigoted theocratic dictatorship.
There are also those of us who will pray with you and for you.

I also find this situation you speak. To me it seems that the world seems filled with much darkness, and we as people of God,yes get very irritated, but we need to remember to pray for these individuals, turn away the negativity and continue our walk within Gods light...God is Love,and he has given us love in our hearts to share/to give.

Instead of being hurt by hateful people. Maybe you should pray for them and ask everyone on this site to do the same also. I will pray for you and any that ask it of me. Remember, love your enemies; for it is far easier to love those that love us. Even the Pharisees loved others. Forgive them for they know not what they do. May God bless you.

listen when your in public with anything theres always going to be some jerk that comes along and ruins it , best thing to do is ignore them , you know what their problem is don't you , they don't want to answer to god so they diss people who believe in him , but in the end they'll get theirs. you know Jesus said if you suffer because of me than count it as a great thing

Ask for prayer in church. Ask for advice at a psychologist's visit. Ask for fries at McDonald's. Be sure you ask for the appropriate things at and in appropriate places and situations respectively. Have a nice day! :}
