At least spit out the bulk of the paste. Rinsing is not essential, and for patients with high decay rates, I put them on a high fluoride paste (Colgate Neutrafluor 5000), which suggests spitting only. The remaining paste is allowed to dissipate over the next 30 mins, thus exposing the teeth to a prolonged and higher fluoride content.
It does no harm to your digestive tract.

Yes i get what you're saying.
I don't think it's bad. I do rinse after brushing because i don't like swallowing the leftover toothpaste. and i have perfectly healthy teeth!

so if you want to, go ahead and rinse.

No, you are suppose to rinse it because the tooth paste affects your stomach and it could get bad so its good to rinse well after a great toothbrusshing!

It doesn't matter. You're just using the toothpaste to help brush the plaque off your teeth. You don't need to keep it on there any longer, so you can wash it off as much as you like.

Flouride is terrible for the stomach and you should avoid swallowing any after brushing. Rinse your mouth of it.

I don't know, but I wouldn't think it would matter or it would say on the tube not to drink anything for a certain length of time after you brush.

No. But it is not bad. If you rinse again you will find more junk is still coming out from between your teeth when you spit.

No, it is okay to rinse. In fact you should. The rinsing helps you to spit out any plaque.

Rinse all you want, but don't eat for a while.
