Yes Vancouver and the coastal part of British Columbia are in zone 6!

Maybe. Trachycarpus fortunei, Rhapidophyllum hystrix, and Sabal minor are good bets. In general, Sabal palms, needle palms, Trachycarpus takil and trunking Yucca plants are a good fit for zone 6.
