Im going out with some friends tomorrow to hear some stand up comdey and my friend has got this girl coming along with us, who is interested in meeting me. I have seen the girl before (didnt actually meet her) and i find her very attractive so i want to talk to her during the outing and get the ball rolling. What is the best way to convey your interested in seeing her but doing so it doesnt sound like your needy or desparate. My social skills are not the best and ive made that mistake before.

Well, if you are interested in her, you'll automatically show subtle signs that she'll understand as interest. Your shoulders will most likely square directly towards her, your eyebrows will raise when you meet her (this all happens involuntarily) and you'll most likely want and try to be next to her a lot.

These little things will make her, at least, WONDER if you're interested. If you want to make it more obvious yet "subtle" then compliment her on something that male friends wouldn't say.

For example, instead of, "You look nice tonight" (which even your friends can say, tell her she has a pretty smile when you meet her.
Believe me, she'll KNOW, and she'll be flattered that you paid her a sincere and unique comment.

Hope this helps. =]

Strike up a conversation with her towards the end of the evening...something that both of you are really interested in. Then when it's time to go, tell her that you'd like to continue the conversation and ask her to meet somewhere low key (coffee, the park) to continue.

When the event is over, just be like, " Hey I had a great time with you, and I was wondering if you'd like to do it again sometime." And if she makes up some lame excuse, then you know she's not into you, but dont give up hope! There's someone out there for you!

be friends with her first. don't try to go too fast and make sure you gain her trust before you go any further. telling her too soon about your interest may scare her away and make sure that she has shown some some of interest toward you as well so that you will not get hurt in the process.

Just be friendly. Ask her about herself and be a good listener.
See if you have something in common...whether it's music, a movie, a sport, Chinese food...whatever, and keep it light but friendly.

Talk to her, ask her questions about herself, don't be touchy feely, but just go with the flow.
