Those foods are processed to to have a longer shelf-life than non-processed foods - that is until they are openend. Once opened, I would keep anything like that refrigerated --- Botulism can KILL! why take the chance??? For camping, I would keep the bacon in a cooler, it's probably fine, but again - why take the chance?? Even a mild form of food poisoning is what is known as the 24 hour flu. Violent vomiting and diarrhea?????
Canadian packaging laws state that a food must be labelled "Keep refrigerated" if need be. So check the package, and when in doubt, refrigerate!

You, like everybody else, need, must have, a cooler for the items you buy out of the refrigerator case. Period. That's why its in the refrigerator case! Don't do it and you may eat rotten food and I don't think you want to do that! If it's off the un-refrigerated case it's safe. A cheap cooler can cost like $6 and ice a few bucks more.
Y!A is a loverly place where everybody has an opinion. Some 14 year old kid can tell you, "Sure, why not!" The bottom line, ask someone you trust, maybe a butcher.

I buy the fully cooked bacon and keep it on the shelf. It is great for camping, not that I want to camp, I prefer room service. I do keep a package in the hurricane kit.

It comes from the store cold, so you should keep bacon on ice. I have never heard of cheese and bacon rolls.

It will mold. Even slabs in smoke houses accumulate some mold. Even in prolonged refrigeration.
It's just washed off, and it's safe.
Slices are too thin to do that.
Hell, I get more skin off my face when shaving than those bacon slices.

Bacon is so packed with nitrites, it would survive nuclear fallout. But, it's just good practice not to let meat, especially pork, stay at room temperature long.

I in a lot of circumstances placed those in a plastic zip bag. issues in bowls- i will use the carry movie. i do not use foil contained in the frig- the in basic terms difficulty i will disguise with foil is a prepared dish which will bypass instantly to the oven and that i favor the foil for the oven.
