I'm a non-Christian. I like making the human beings. But seriously, I think there is a danger with Eugenics. Not so much moral or immorral, just risking something "unnatural". Your thoughts please.

Yes there is a danger with Eugenics.. you can get one group that prizes certain qualities over another and then everything else becomes undesirable and not good enough and needs to be eradicated. I think the curing of genetic illness is great but humans should intermarry or have children with whom they wish as I think that will create the healthiest children of all.

Many intelligent observations had proven that some major religions have cause a certain sector of human society to live in world of the past. Some still up to this time denounce progress as work of the devil.
Non-Christians like those we call Atheists, who believe in science actually have contributed a lot to world's advancement and modern ways of life. Life in progress is not without any accompanying assertiveness that leads to many more adventuristic experimentations that sometimes lead to clash with those who live in status quo. Religion however, must be practiced in terms of strenghtening human moral values rather than raising fear among its people that retards his ability to find the real reason beyond just being a man.

I'm a non-Christian too. However, Eugenics scares the piss out of me. I think NATURE (not human nature--just the big natural green world) can make humans better and more harmonious.

More people need to get in touch with it.

Eugenics is about as useful as phrenology. Of course that doesn't stop nutbags from trying out Eugenic experiments with dogs and calling it 'breeding'.

You know better than to throw out such a subjective term as "better". Each human defines that term in the context of their experience, and to each person it has many meanings.

Define your term, Jim, in the context of your own experience with the word.

Yes, I do believe that we can. I think that we will one day. I also agree with you that it is a scary thought. I am scared of a lot of things.

Define "unnatural." Do you live in a tree, wear animal skins, hunt with crude weapons, and eat your meat raw? Please clarify what "natural" means to you.
