It is her nature..she is a cat. Not being mean, but it is what they do. Some of them will even leave them for a *present* for you on your doorstep, lol. It is nature at work.

It's pretty normal although that sounds like an awful lot of mice. I hope that this is not going on in your house. Do be sure to get the cat wormed at least once a year and keep all of her shots up to date.

Bad for the mice but you have a good cat. Take care of her. Seems like at 5 a day, she would eliminate them in record time.

Be happy that domestication didnt rid her completely of her natural instincts. Just make sure shes dewormed and has her shots...you dont want her hobby making her sick. But it migh tnot be a bad idea to help her out with calling an exterminator.

this is natural. It is typical cat instinct. they are going to kill things if they can. cats were not originally tame and domestic. it would be somewhat unnatural if she didn't kill the mice.

if you don't want her killing them, I would suggest a HUMANE mousetrap. that excludes sticky tape. and rat poison could kill your cat if she got into it. as well with your typical mousetrap; that could hurt your cat.

check the internet for electronic mouse catchers/traps.
the link under sources is a fairly expensive trap by sharper image but very humane; it doesn't kill mice, it keeps them away without hurting them.

It's only bad if your a mouse, otherwise we would be waist-deep with the wee mousies.I have to admit that they are cute, though and I feel bad when my cat kills them. But,you know,it's the circle of life thing.

Cats kill mice, thats what we domesticated them for, mice piss and **** over everything, if they don't want to get eaten, then they can run.
I love mice but the food chain is the food chain!

No. This is normal cat behavior and she's an excellent mouser.

"Playing" with prey is the cat's way of making sure the prey is dead before beginning to eat. And cats will kill even if they're not hungry, they just can't help it.

No. I love cats and like mice. As much as I hate killing, it's natural.
