news paper or the shelter folks going into assisted living give away good pets that are trained and house broken to shelters to leave for the rest home

Go to http://www.petfinder.com You can find a list of all the rescues shelters in your area, plus they have classifieds where you can loook for adoptable pets in your area from private individuals. Plus look in newspapaer ads, etc.

Check to see if your local shelter posts pics on-line. Or just go to your local shelter or animal rescue.....they really need you!!
