Exactly! But that implies that one must create ones own purpose in life, and most people are just too damn lazy to do that, I guess. It's much easier to have all the answers in one convenient package. You don't even have to think or make decisions anymore! Isn't it wonderful?

The question "why" is inherently man-made and artificial - it has nothing to do with objective reality. "Why" implies an entity deciding to do something for a reason; therefore, "why" implies a god/gods. Just an interesting point.

Humans are hard wired to ask why, how, where, who, what - and combinations of these questions. That's part of how we circled the globe and spread out everywhere.
Humans can not accept anything - the next generation keeps working on the questions of the earlier generations.

because its not only hard to accept , its immpossible for me to believe that i am here just because and that theres no reason why im here . when you shed tears or laugh with great joy or feel any emotion do you think theres no why behind it , to answer ur question , everything u do, think or say has a reason behind it , therefore what makes you think everything that has ever happened on this earth has no reason behind it ?

Because no "why" is not a possibility--it's a stance/position and decision.

You have CHOSEN to refute the possibilities of your existence, which is respectfully your choice. Nevertheless, there are many others who are inquisitive regarding the essence of their very being. Personally, I'm more supportive of the inquisitive group than I am the latent one, as I feel it is very healthy to desire to know where you came from, when, how and WHY.

Because intrinsic motivation is very rare. Pessimistic or not, there are very few good people who are intrinsically motivated to work for the betterment of life because it's a pleasant thing to do. Some just need that extrinsic carrot--often called religion--to convince them to live a rewarding life.

Why is it hard for you to understand that there is a "Why" behind us being? Even if it's just something like, uhh, asking questions on Yahoo Answers, it's still a purpose. :)

If it's Creation or Evolution or whatever, there is always a 'why'. There are people, there are trees, there are animals. Of course there is a why. Even if one day everything just magically appeared, there is a still a 'why'.

Why is it so hard for some to accept the obvious? Jesus died for you. If you believe in Him, you will live eternally in Heaven. So very simple yet so difficult for so many.
