Jesus died for his own sins. I have no sins so anyone who tried to die for them would have died in vain. Instead of claiming that Jesus died for you, tell them that I lived for you. It is much more life centered, heathy and encouraging to other people than what Jesus did.

I understand why some people die a Martyr. For a cause, you know? But happy because someone does, I don't know. We have to look at what the symbolic meaning is to this. What he did shows us strength and courage in the face of adversity. I There has been others to do the same as 'Jesus'. Happy that someone dies for the sake of others.....? I am happy that we have individuals that are this couragous, and I gain in awareness in the meaning of life.....

Jesus died for my sins and yours and we should be extremely happy that God loved us enough to provide a way by sending His Son Jesus Christ.

It actually pains me to see Christ suffer. It was not a happy scene at all, to see someone nailed to the cross, a crown of thorns on his head, and finally speared. He had just endured a horrible beating by whipping him almost to death. He never once gave in, He stood steadfast to His belief, but yet the people wanted Him killed, because why, he went against what they wanted to believe. It is happening to day with the Terrorists. Killing those that do not believe, but the Terrorist, like Bin Ladin has his own religion, as others have said, this is not what they believe, to kill others that do not believe as they do.
This was Christ's destiny, and when He had the Last Supper, He was telling his Disciples to take this bread and wine and remember me, as the bread is my body, and the wine is my blood.
You see, Christ wanted to spread the word of His Father, but He also knew that His time was limited. When it was time for Him to go on His mission and select the Disciples, he was on a count down, He tried to show people, as in this forum, that He was real, as the Christians are trying to share their love for you, but regardless of His miracles, like bringing a dead man, who had been dead for 3 days, back from the dead, curing people, letting people see, just all sorts of miracles, they still demanded His death - think about it. Even He then died in spite of it all, but, that was His destiny, so we could be forgiven for all mankind's sins. Believe it or not, but it really happened. He arose from the dead, and stayed to teach his Disciples to go out and spread the word of God. All the Disciples were killed in horrible ways.
Being a Christian is not always the easiest, when anyone goes against the ways of the Devil, He will try and try to talk you out of it. I know that some people do not believe in God, or the Devil, but what if it was true, which it is. Look at yourself, and know, that you are special, God made you, and Christ died for you. It is up to you to believe and have faith. Although the Christians were thrown to the lions, they still maintained their belief and faith. Who of you would do that today? Not many.

no one else could do it. You couldnt die for my sins cause you aren't perfect without blemish
1 Peter 1
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

I am happy that I don't have to spend eternity in Hell, but I am sad that Jesus had to die for that to happen. It is unbelieveable that someone could love us that much and That is why I am so grateful and love my Lord so much. God bless!

Yes, I am. It was a tremendous sacrifice, but He did it because He loved us so much. Why is that so terrible a thought, that someone could love enough to want to die for another person?

yes, because somebody had to who was sinless or i would be. as much as i hate that he had to go thru that, i hate pain so much that i must admit that i'm glad it wasnt' me.
to curious:
all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, so by default, you have sinned.
and what makes you think it matters when you were born?
