I had this dream. Is it prophetic?

This is what happened in my dream. I'm by the coast and there is a naval fleet out in the bay. I didn't know what city it was, but I knew I was in the U.S. because everyone spoke English without an British or Australian accent. Then I saw seven American fighter planes flying in a V formation over head as if they were doing a drill or something. But a minute later, they started bombing the fleet and then crashing there planes into the ships like kamikaze pilots. The explosions lighten up the water with commotion while the people watching scream "the fleet is being attacked, the fleet is being attacked"! Soon all of the planes have crashed and everyone is panicking, mourning, or in shock.
Am I getting a vision from God about an impending terrorist attack where the terrorists attack our ships with our own fighter planes?

It wasn't Pearl Harbor. I'm serious!!! THey were using our planes!!!

I don't have the time to read all of what you have to say but I do like to type goofy responses to goofy questions. No, you probably did not have a prophetic dream, if it seemed to predict something it was probably a coincidence.

It sounds like a prophetic warning. I can't tell if you're a christian or not, but I got this a week ago from a christian prophetic email list:

In the early hour watch of September 9th at 3:00 am I woke up and heard the Lord say, "Cover your bases." I knew that what He was talking about was our military bases, both in this nation and especially internationally. I felt that there are some diabolical plots that are in the works to bring destruction to our military facilities and harm to our military men and women. I initially felt this for bases overseas, but then also realized that some bases even in the US are also in danger and have been infiltrated. I prayed that God would uncover these plans and bring confusion into the camp of the enemy so that they could not carry through on their evil intensions.

I've been praying about such a situation since then.

I worked on a Navy base for many years it was an air station where pilots are trained. During the 70s and 80s there were many Saudi and Iranian pilots trained by the US Navy.. It was very common in those days. When 9/11 happened I wondered if it could have been some of those guys.
So your dream could have some significance.

Possibly, if you are truly on the level. But I have had dreams and I wonder where I got it, and I remember a TV show, or video I was watching that spilled over into my dream. I certainly hope not, but you never can tell any more. Just keep praying that it won't happen.

No. If nightmares of terrorist attacks were visions, especially those occurring following a 9/11 anniversary, then we'd all be prophets.

Could be prophetic, but also dreams are an expression of things we have already seen (on TV, read on news, or in person and even experiences or tales told by somebody), and also things we are afraid of (an expression of our fears).
