Some of the pictures that are being sent back to the states reveal pics that never seem to hit the major press..must be they are too exposing to be considered..the ones I recently saw were of GI's being surrounded by kids.. all with broad smiles on their face and giving a thumbs up to the camera.. another child in a car holding a sign reading. "Thank you Mr Bush".. another asking for the US to stay for a while another showing several marines in a circle holding a prayer. Another just of a soldier leaning down to pet a kitten.. one of an older woman hoping the US will stay longer...

These pics don't show up in the media for a reason.. they are not awe inspiring enough to goad the reader into more Bush hate.. but this is what is taking place in Iraq and the military there is very concerned about what is going on at home.. it is quite a let down for them.. they see the shadows of what happened during the Viet Nam war.. and oddly, by most of the same people. Then to see the pics of the lady who parked by Bushes home in Texas, beside the leader of a southern country.. revealing her to be an actual turncoat. Reviling her country for who knows what reason.. this country bragging about how they would help destroy America.. Is it any wonder their morale is being trodden upon? They are getting their inspiration from the people of Iraq, not from home. The people that support them at home, don't make the news. Just those who despise the president, even tho he is doing his utmost to make sure they are protected here at home. A real gallant effort by those opposed to the american way of life.. and home grown at that.

To answer another statement that shows up in these posts... It must be remembered, clinton and his cabinet, as well as the dems in the senate, all concurred... saddam must go..then when bush says it ... it is a lie? Even when the congress gave their approval to go into Iraq. As we are finding out as recently as today 9/15, the muslims are in solidarity regarding their religion, regardless of which sect they belong to. Plus their prophet has commanded them to not be friends with jews or christians, to foment a jihad against the infidels, and have one world religion. Theirs... whether you want it or not.. if you refuse, you die. They already have 1/4th of the world population.. which sort of corresponds to a Biblical reference to a group that will control 25% of the globe. If you don't know where to find it, look in Revelations.

Yes it is scary in IRAQ, but personally I think that America should be a little more concerned over what is coming down over here...America, should just learn that there ARE some countries that prefer their country as is, We spend soo much money on trying to bully people around, and the only thing that happens, is alot of young men and women are dying. Needless to say about all the Mid-Eastern people that are dying needlessly. We are not even taking care of are own people, What's with that...Bush like father like son, not a pretty picture //

Scarey here too. More people have been murdered in the U.S. than the number of violent deaths in Iraq this year alone.

It's getting "scarey" everywhere. With a president always pressing for more and more power, can Halloween be just around the corner?

War is scary anywhere it's fought honey. I can tell you this through experience. Regardless of where, War is hell, and Hell is a scary place indeed. So "Yes" it is scary in Iraq. God Bless America, And Our Troops! 1st. Sgt., 7th Special Forces, (Ret.) Vietnam, "67"-"70"

There's a war going on, of course it is. It's lots of fun hearing rocket motors buzz overhead and not knowing where it's going to land and detonate. Lots of fun hearing 105s fire and not knowing initially if it's ours outgoing or an incoming attack.

I 've heard that when soldiers come home some of them are messed up in the head from what they've seen and been through over there. We need to keep everyone of them in our prayers not only that they come home ok but that they are ok once they come home.
