I just tried my first attempt at Pork Skins.
They were salty, crunchy, and tasted terrible.
Any one out there like em? I guess there are a few of you. Why would salted fried skin turn you on. To me the skin is just the covring for the good stuff. It's like eating the bag that chips come in.
Gross.

Those were icky commercial ones and deserve to be considered bad. When I was a kid we used to eat duck skin cracklings. They were fried skin that was cooked till the fat came off it and it turned crispy. They were great but are never sold in stores, as far as I know.

we don't call em pork skins down here in the south and you could fill a shopping cart full of them for a couple bucks before that dang low carb diet took up now they cost over $2.00 a bag.
one thing though as a guy who eats them as a snack and not a health type food, never eat them with water, it will make them gross, personally i use beer, and lots of it because i get the hot flavored ones.

Just like the skin of peking duck, most Chinese like the roasted crispy skin... especially the very thin crispy just done BBQ baby pig's skin with hoisin sauce. Different culture, different appreciation to food!

Yes, fayyy, but I don't eat it very often!

I love them, and they have no Carbs or sugar.

The best way to try them is in a bowl of hot chicken noodle soup or make a salad and crunch them up and spread them over the Salad.

Try both of these ways and if you don't like them after that, then you just don't like them.

High in bad cholesterol and fat. Not suitable for adults with less chances of doing exercises to sweat it out and burn fats and calories.
