of tools that we leave at the store during the remerch. sometimes people take other peoples boxes. is there a company that would insure my tools they are worth about 2,000.00

Contractor's tools are insurable, but you can't leave them around just anywhere. They have to be accounted for and secured, not in the possession of a bailee.

You should be able to insure your tools under a business policy- contact a local agent- they can check different companies for you
