I don't think it'll hurt him. It should pass through his system fairly soon. Watch him over the weekend to be sure that his bodily functions continue normally. If he seems to be "plugging up" (abdominal swelling, lethargy, apparent discomfort, lack of bowel movements), or if you are still concerned Monday, call your veteranarian and ask what you should do (the telephone is cheaper than the vet!)

my puppy eats ever thing it can find on the floor and with 3 kids it finds a lot just check its pooh and if u don't see it in a few days then go to the vet

He'll be fine. The good part is that after he takes a dump you'll have a little handle to pick the turd up with.

Just watch him, make sure he is not in distress, and wait for it to pass. That just means you may have to break apart the poop to make sure it came out the other end. . .
