There's a guy at my chruch, Robert, we are the same age. Recently, we've been passing smiles, and when I look at him, he's always looking at me. But, up until now my friends and I teased him and made fun of him. Now I like him, and my friends still pick on him. For example : He is coming into our sunday school class, and they were saying very loudly in front of him, "No, Robert is coming to our class! He is such a big dork! He looks like his 1-year-old sister!" What am I supposed to do, I really like him!

Your friends seem immature.. if you really like this guy, stand up to them for him! Don't let them make fun of him if you care about him. Maybe he'll see how much you care then. Also, why would they make fun of someone in a church? Aren't they supposed to be forgiving?

Well if you really like this guy, you shouldn't care what others say about him, you're the one that is going to "probably" date him....If you see your friends making fun of him, you could probably try to convince them not to make fun of him, it that doesn't work then try talking to him, and if he does like you, then start hanging out with him and don't pay attention to what others have to say, sometimes we do things that others don't approve, but it's our life, and we're the only ones who know how we want to live it! But he should start defending himself too, it's probably hard for him, but maybe if you get close to him he would feel more confident and probably do something about his situation! Good Luck

Maybe one of them like him as well. Your friends don't sound that complex. I wouldn't worry about them. Be a leader...not a follower. Step out and let them know that your opinion is far more important than theirs. Ask him out. The smart ones will catch on and follow...and you will lose the ones you don't want anyway. :) Have a nice day! :)

Truthfully, you're friends seem really immature. Tell you're friends that they are the ones acting like his 1-year old sister.

1st of all you need to breakout of this "im afraid of what my friends think" mode!!!! if they're really your friends they will be happy that youre happy no matter who you like. i say go get robert!!!!!!! im sure if they get a chance to hang out with him and see the guy he is for reals then they will have a change of heart and be nice to him. i mean HELLO you guys are going to church right??!!!!!!

Be the bigger person and ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" Of course I don't think Jesus would ask a guy out, but you get the point. You go to church for crying out loud! Practice what you preach.

Forget what your friends say - go ahead and talk to him, get to know his true self. Who knows, you may end up falling for him. Take a risk, see what happens! Good luck.
